Aryan's POV

During my week-long stay in the hospital, I noticed something unsettling about Arjun. At first, he was professional and attentive, but his demeanor shifted whenever my business partner and family friend 'Roshan' came to visit. While I appreciated the Roshan's concern, but I couldn't shake the feeling that Arjun was acting differently around us.

When Roshan arrived, the Arjun's smiles turned tight, and his gaze seemed to linger a bit too long on us. It was subtle an extra pause, a flicker of sadness in his eyes. I could sense a tension in the room. And he would often give death glare to Roshan, maybe it's my imagination

Arjun's POV

I'm supposed to be a professional. But here I am, completely smitten with my patient, Arjun. He's been in the hospital for a week, and let's just say he's not the warmest person. I mean, he's colder than the ice packs I use on sprains! But there's something about him—maybe it's those piercing stare which hooked me. My heart raced, and I knew I had to make my move - Operation Win Aryan's Heart was officially underway.

Every time I walk into his room, I feel like I'm entering a battle zone. I try to crack a joke, but Aryan just raises an eyebrow and responds with a half-smirk. "You're trying really hard, Doc," he says, and honestly, it feels like I'm trying to win a gold medal in flirting.

One day, I decided to try my luck. "Hey, Aryan !! How's my favorite patient doing today? Any new complaints besides my terrible jokes?"

"Just the usual. Can you bring me a blanket? It's freezing in here," he replied, his tone as icy as ever.

I grabbed a blanket, determined to warm him up both physically and emotionally. "How about I make it a cozy movie night? I'll even supply the popcorn!"

Just as I was about to shine my own charm, in walks Roshan, Aryan's friend or co-worker?, looking like he just stepped out of a fashion magazine. "Hey, Polar bear ! How's it going ?" He flashed a grin that could melt glaciers.

My heart sank. Roshan was everything I wasn't—charming, confident, and completely oblivious to the love-struck doctor in the room. "Oh great, the entertainment has arrived," I said, trying to sound nonchalant but failing miserably.

Roshan turned to me and said with smirk. "You're leaving me out of the movie night, Doc? I'll bring the snacks!"

" Well, I guess delivery boy came in time," I retorted, unable to hide my irritation.

"Dude, I'm here for Aryan. We'll figure out the snacks later," Roshan said, plopping down next to Aryan and shooting him a sweet look. "How about we plan a night-out or horror movie when you get out of here?"

I felt a surge of jealousy. "Or," I interjected, "you could just watch one of my highly recommended trendy dramas. I guarantee you'll be on the edge of your seat!"

Aryan laughed, completely unaware of the rivalry brewing. "Wow, both options sound awesome! But I think I could go with horror films."

Roshan jumped in, leaning closer to Aryan. "How about I come over with the entire collection? You know I've got the best taste in movies!"

My inner voice was screaming, "No, don't let him steal your moment!" But I tried to play it cool. but I can't let go " Maybe we could go with action movies. You may get jump-scare with horror movies at night."

Aryan chuckled. "That sounds... riveting, Arjun. But I think I'll stick with Roshan's plan."

My heart felt like it was sinking like a lead balloon. How was I supposed to compete with a friend who had the charisma of a stud? I needed a plan to show Aryan, I could be fun too.

The next day, I walked into Aryan's room with a spring in my step, determined to win him over. "Good morning, Jamie! Ready for a little doctor-patient bonding time?"

He smirked. "You mean more of your attempts at humor? Sure, why not?"

"Let's play a game! For every laugh I get, I'll give you a sticker. Collect enough, and I'll let you go around the park at night !" Only us

"Stickers?, you really stepping up your game!" he said, rolling his eyes, but a smile crept onto his face.

Just then, Roshan barged in again. "Hey, guys! What's the plan? More doctor jokes?"

"Actually," I said, trying to keep my cool, "we're in the middle of a serious sticker competition. Want to join?"

Roshan raised an eyebrow, clearly evil thought in his mind. "A sticker competition? Count me in! I'm unbeatable!"

As we all took turns telling jokes, I noticed Aryan laughing more than ever. "You two are ridiculous! This is the best entertainment I've had all week!"

Feeling encouraged, I leaned in closer to Aryan. "You know, I could prescribe a daily dose of laughter. It's the best medicine, after all!"

"Is that your official medical advice?" Aryan shot back, smirking.

"Absolutely! And it comes with a side of charm," I replied, flashing my best smile.

Roshan, not to be outdone, nudged Aryan playfully. "Just remember, my jokes come with extra charm!"

Aryan laughed, looking back and forth between us. "You guys are hilarious! I'm just here for the entertainment."

As we continued our back-and-forth, I realized that maybe this rivalry wasn't so bad. Roshan and I were both just trying to make Aryan smile. So, I decided to join forces. "Okay, how about this? We can both entertain Aryan, and whoever makes him laugh the hardest gets to take him out for ice cream when he's out of here!"

"Deal!" Roshan said, shaking my hand.

At that moment, I felt lighter. It wasn't just about winning Aryan's heart anymore; it was about bringing joy into his hospital stay. And as the laughter continued, I got to know and understand more about Aryan and I realized that sometimes the best way to win someone over is to let go of jealousy and just have good conversation together.
