He already regretted his decision. The night had been spent going over what was going to happen the next day. This morning, he had spent 10 extra minutes in bed before quickly getting dressed and heading to the kitchen to get something to eat.

He quickly made himself some avocado toast and a coffee, sitting at the kitchen table, where his brother was silently drinking his own coffee.

He finished his food and leaned on Jeremy, wings curling around his body in comfort, "I know you don't like this, but it's my choice. I'll be okay, you don't need to worry."- Jeremy cut him off with a yell, "I'm your brother! I'm supposed to worry!" His wings flared out, pushing Oliver's wings off.

"I'm sorry. I don't want you to worry. I understand you do it because you love me." Oliver said softly, stroking his brother's wings to get them to soften and depuff. Jeremy spoke up, "James said to meet up at 7pm, you ready for that?" Oliver nodded slightly, "Yeah. I'll see him then." Jeremy kissed Oliver's forehead, "Please be safe, Olive'" "I will be."

By the time it turned 7, Oliver thought the time was going way too slow. He was heading to James' office, where James was going to clip a tracker in the downy feathers of Oliver's wings.

Oliver knocked on the door and announced himself before entering. "Hi, boss." He was greeted with a hum as James searched through his drawers and made an 'Ah-hah!' when he found what he needed, standing. "Hi Oliver! I have the tracker. Can you turn around and present your wings?"

Oliver hesitated before turning and spreading his wings, feeling James touch at the soft feathers along the radius bone of the wing, before finding a newer feather, a lesser or marginal covert, hidden underneath all of his downy feathers and gently clipping a tracker to it.

The moment James retracted his hand, Oliver turned back to him and shook out his wings, not liking the feeling of the tracker, but he said nothing about it. "James, when are we going to set the plan in motion, I want to get this over with."

James stayed silent for a few seconds,

"We are going to try starting today."
