Oliver yawned loudly as he was abruptly awoken from his nap, having been allowed a nap before the mission.
"Oliver, hurry up, get ready," said Jeremy, shaking him awake, his wings vibrating in barely concealed worry.
"I'm coming, Jeremy." Oliver mumbled, getting up, only to be barreled into by his older brother, "Stay safe, Oliver. Please." "I will, Big brother."

Oliver nodded slightly at James before walking out of the base, wings fluttering nervously, and his phone opened to a random app to seem unsuspecting.
Once Oliver got to the location that the gang had reportedly been most active in, he changed his body language to something a little calmer. It took some minutes, enough for his concern to rise, to just hear a swish and feel something heavy -'maybe a bat?'- hit the back of his head, and, with a cry of pain, everything went dark.
⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆The room he had woken up in was dark and stank like human waste and sick.
At a quick glance around, his eyes landed on the first two kids nearest to him, the first was a boy with black hair and corvid wings- whether it was a crow, raven, magpie, or some other bird from that family, was unclear- and seemed about 16 or 17. The second boy was smaller, around 13, with brown-ish hair and bat-like wings.
Both boys were cuddled up next to each other, the smaller one crying and the older one comforting him with clicks of his teeth and croons.
Oliver hesitated before scooting closer in concern. His stomach churned at the smell of the room and his head spun from the movement, but he ignored it in favor of speaking.
"Are you okay..?"
In hindsight, it was a stupid question, as they were clearly not okay, but he held strong, face softened in concern and head tilted to the side.
The boy sniffled, pressing himself more into the taller, but looked up at Oliver. "I don't- i- where are we?!" They cried, wings twitching in their binds. A sob ripped through their throat as they buried their face in the other's side.
"The name is Ashton," the taller boy -Ashton- said quietly before gesturing to the brunette curled against him, "This is Milo. What's your name, and are you okay?"
Oliver hesitated and looked around at the other children, maybe 10 or 15 more, before looking back at the two infront of him,
"I'm Oliver."
