As she stood in front of the washroom mirror, her swollen eyes reminded her of everything she had been through-Miral's cruel words the loss of her childhood friend and the overwhelming feeling of betrayal. She tried to push those thoughts aside, but they kept creeping back, making her feel even more distant from Umar.
Haleema finished freshening up and quickly glanced at the clock, realizing she was running late. She hurriedly got ready and slipped out of the room before Umar could come back.
Heading to the kitchen she started preparing breakfast trying to keep her mind occupied.
Meanwhile when Umar returned from his jog and found his wife missing he sat on the sofa his head in his hands. I knew that girl came here to create distance between us he thought, frustrated. But I won't let that happen.
Resolute he made a promise to himself to confront the situation. He stood up refreshed himself, and got ready to leave for the office, determined to find a way to address the rift that had formed between them.

Haleema was in the kitchen, lost in thoughts about Umar. After crying so much the day before, her eyes had dried up, but the ache in her heart lingered. Suddenly, memories of their first date flooded her mind. She took a deep breath and whispered, "ya allah ap to mere mijaj se waqif the na fir ku mere dil mein umar ke liye mohabbat dala"
I am not his first love; I am merely his wife, burdened by responsibility. His heart belongs to someone else.
With a heavy heart she confided to Allah, "My heart is in so much pain; I can't bear this anymore. He lied to me that day-everything was a lie. I was the foolish one to believe him."
As she gathered her thoughts, she continued preparing breakfast. After a while, she laid everything out on the dining table. One by one, everyone came and took their seats.
When Umar entered and saw Haleema, he sat down beside her, the tension palpable between them. Breakfast went on in silence, while Miral noticing the rift between Umar and Haleema, felt a sense of triumph at having succeeded in her plans.
After breakfast everyone dispersed to their rooms. Umar, having chatted with his ammi and choti ammi went to the kitchen looking for Haleema. When he spotted her she tried to scape away.
Umar's voice softened revealing his desperation, "jaana kya mera ye ektiyar bhi nhi ki aapko dekh saku."
Haleema paused conflicted but quickly masked her emotions. "aap ye sab keh kar ku mujhe ur jyada dukh de rhe hai aap jaye yahan se."
With that she walked away, leaving Umar feeling even more dejected.
As he headed towards his car, Miral approached him. Umar ignored her and walked faster.
Miral quickened her pace and caught up with him insisting, "Drop me off at the office. You know I don't have anyone else."
"Stop right there! I'm not your chauffeur and I haven't forgotten what you did yesterday. Get lost, or else you won't like what happens," Umar snapped, his anger flaring.
