Miral was asleep in her room when her phone had been ringing for a while. In her sleep, she reached for the phone on the table, grabbed it, and groggily mumbled, Who's dying so early in the morning?

On the other end Murtaza Hussain angrily said, Have you taken it upon yourself to sleep like the dead? I've called you 15 times since morning. If this happens again, you'll be the one to die!

Hearing Murtaza's voice, Miral sat up straight and said, Sorry I was asleep, that's why I said something wrong. Tell me what do you need?

Without wasting any time Murtaza said, My personal secretary, Shareef, who used to work for me, has been missing for the past week. There's no trace of where he could be. I'm certain he's fallen into Umar's hands.

Miral screamed, Whatttttt?! Now I'm done for! He won't spare me alive; he must have found out everything by now-that I've been in contact with his enemy!

Murtaza scolded her, Calm down! Nothing like that has happened. Shareef didn't know anything about you.

Miral taking a deep breath said, "Thank God, I'm safe."

Murtaza in a cold voice said, Now quickly get to work and create so much misunderstanding between those two that my Haleema leaves him. I'll handle the rest.

Miral laughing replied, I've already started working on your plan since last night. Slowly I'll bring it to completion.

Murtaza Hussain warned, Remember if anything happens to my Haleema you'll pay with your life.

Miral said, I don't care about your Haleema. I only want Umar. That's the only reason I'm helping you; otherwise, I wouldn't bother.

Murtaza laughing said, Just imagine if Umar finds out that you're siding with his arch-enemy-me. You know exactly what he'll do to you. So don't threaten me. I don't need you to get Haleema; I chose you because I know you want Umar. That's why I picked you. So, it's better if you just keep doing your work quietly.

Inwardly cursing him Miral said, "Yes, I understand."

Murtaza Hussain hung up the phone. Looking at the phone, he said, "disconnected she was thinking of double-crossing me," and laughed.

Meanwhile as soon as the call disconnected Miral cursed him, saying, Just once let Haleema leave this house, and then you and your orders can go to hell!

Haleema was freshening up and getting ready in her room, thinking about the conversation from the previous night.

Umar had returned early from his jog that day. As soon as he entered the room and saw his wife, he let out a deep breath and sat on the bed, watching her.

Haleema, seeing him in the mirror, glanced at him angrily and then lowered her gaze, focusing on putting on her bangles.

After finishing her preparations, she stood up, sprayed perfume, and was about to head toward the wardrobe when a thought crossed her mind. She said, "You came back early from your jog today."

Umar replied, "Yeah, I wasn't feeling too well today, so I came back early."

Irritated Haleema retorted, "Well, if you keep taking everyone out for rides, of course, you'll feel unwell."
