Chapter 11 drilling

On the Asteroid at the crash site, the Shuttle Independence crashed and the fuselage broke into pieces and spread everywhere the cargo bay what's left of it survived intact, AJ having survived the crash wakes up from being unconscience he pushes debris off him grunting as he did he walked up to the flight deck and found Oscar still strapped to his seat with his helmet on laying motionless.

AJ: Oh...oh he struggled to find words, Oscar Oscar. he got no reply meaning he's dead, Oh god he sobbed. hello? anyone is anyone else alive? Somebody help me! he begged.

Lev who also survived appears from behind him.

Lev: AJ, he said getting his attention.

sparks flew everywhere.

AJ: where are you? he looked around to find him.

Lev: I'm here he said.

AJ got up from his kneeling position.

AJ: Lev, there's no one else there's no one else.

Lev: I know.

they heard a voice with some hope.

Bear: Oh Man he groaned.

AJ: Bear, where are you?

Bear: AJ AJ, I'm in the Shuttle man he told them.

AJ and Lev found him laying on the floor of the cockpit.

AJ: Lev, are you alright? they turned him on his back.

AJ: I'm so glad to see you man, I never thought I be so Happy to see your ugly face he smiled.

meanwhile, on the Freedom Shuttle, Miranda and her team were gearing up for EVA {Extra Vehicular Activities] outside the Shuttle with the Armadillo and the Nuclear Bomb in tow on the Rocky surface to the spot where they needed to drill.

Watts: Houston do you read? this is Freedom.

Sharp: check your Thrusters. he ordered his Team. everyone engaged their DAT Thrusters to keep their feet on their ground.

Watts: Houston, do you copy? she called again but no reply.

Sharp: is everyone good to go? he checked to make sure they were ready, open the cargo door he ordered his co-pilot.

The cockpit was airlocked tight and the Payload door on the belly opened up and they were offloaded, Miranda could not believe her eyes she widened her eyes the surface was unlike anything she had ever seen.

Harry: wow, he observed the sight he can see Razor sharp rocks just as Truman described it. they made their way deep within the surface of the Asteroid and they found the spot to commence drilling.

Harry: down here, he pointed ahead of him in the valley.

the team dropped off their equipment and set up for drilling around the drill site.

Miranda sat down the tools next to the drill head transmission.

Rockhound: this place is like Dr Seuss's worst nightmare he said holding an asteroid thermometer.

Miranda: yeah no shit, Rockhound. she swore glancing at him after standing up from her spot.

Chick directed the Armadillo to the drill site.

Chick: to the left, bring it to the left.

The Colonel and Tech Sergeant set up the Remote Radio link to try and establish Radio Contact with Houston.

Harry: Rockhound you come on down here and take some readings down at the flat spot he told him.

Rockhound took some reading and got confirmation that from where he's standing it's differently Iron Ferriate.
