Alchemy awoke in the infirmary with Professor McGonagall and Hagrid at her bed side discussing something.
"I don't know..she just fell. Like a rock being pushed." Hagrid's voice was low. McGonagall made a noise that was between a sigh and a huff.
"The poor dear. Probably exhausted."
Alchemy sat up not wanting to hear pity from others and the two adults stared at her. "I'm sorry." She said barely audible and looked shamefully down at her hands. "I'm fine didn't mean to put you guys through so much trouble." She tried hard not to cry. Why did she ever show up at Hagrid's? It was the middle of the night and she had woken him up. Not to mention probaly woke McGonagall too when he brought her here
"Its okay dearie. Things like that happen." McGonagall tried to reassure her.
Hagrid took a step to her. "But it best not happen too much. Have any idea why you blacked out?"
Once again Alchemy felt shame. She did know. It was from the lack of sleep and not eating. Or maybe it was becasue of what she had seen in her neclace. Alchemy wasn't sure. Before her response could be formed into words the doors of the infirmary busted open and someone ran to where Alchemy was placed. It was Scorpius. His hair was sticking up all over the place and he looked tired. "Oh jeez!!" He exclaimed after seeing her. "Are you okay? What happned? You look terrible!" The blond rushed with questions in one breath.
"I'm fine Scorpius. Calm down." Alchemy almost laughed at the site of him looking tired and crazed. She definitely would call him out on it later when he wasn't worried.
"Good. Now what happned?" He didn't take a minute realize that Hagrid and McGonagall had left.
"I just passed out at Hagrid's. It's no big deal." She only wished she was telling the truth. "You should go back to bed. I'm fine." Alchemy reasoned with the Malfoy.
Scorpius looked her up and down looking for new injuries or something to tell him other wise." Why were you at Hagrids?" He asked. Alchemy took a long look at him. He had bags under his eyes and seemed to be paranoid. He must of just woken up.
She smiled at him slightly. "I can't remember." She lied and her heart fell to her stomach. She was a horrible person. She didn't deserve this boys worry or attention. "You should go get ready for class. Could you tell Kane I will be gone and get my work?" Alchemy asked Scorpius with a sweet voice. Her stomach flipped as she asked so much just so he wood leave and not see her like this. A red puffy face, covered in dirt and cuts. She must of looked like a troll.
"What?! No way!! I'm staying with you! Your hurt and need to be watched 24/7." Scorpius argued and flopped down on the chair beside Alchemy's bed with his arms crossed stubbornly.
"But-"
"Besides what kind of friend would I be if I left you alone while your sick?" He cut her off with a grin.
Alchemy felt her heart jump. This boy thought they were friends. "W-well I'm not really sick..." she corrected him as her cheeks filled with heat. It was weird...was she really sick? Her body felt tenser and hot but only after Scorpius said that they were friends.
"You might as well be sick! Your in a bed for the day and in the infirmary." Scorpius replied his cheeks burning from embarrassment. Alchemy looked at him and began to laugh. The laugh slowly grew until Alchemy held her sides because they hurt. "What's so funny?" Scorpius asked his voice a bit irritated.
Alchemy tried to calm down. "Im so sorry!!!!!..........Its just that-!!!!!!.....I've never had someone call me their friend and care for me.." Alchemy looked at her hands smiling. "It makes me happy..."
"Well your my friend because your different from the other girls. You don't try to flirt with me or act weird. You're yourself no matter what. And that's special." Scorpius explained. Once again Alchemy's heart jumped. What was this feeling of joy and happiness? She wondered. She would ask her Aunt Hermione in a letter.Suddenly her thoughts turned rational and she grew sad becasue of the truth of her. She wasn't special. "Im shy..and Ive got a lot of problems. Like the sleep walking and dreams. Plus my bloodline. Im not anything special...only a freak and mudblood."
Scorpius frowned. "Stop that! Who cares about that?! You sleep walking could mean something. Have a bigger picture! Who cares your a mudblood? Your still at Hogwarts so you belong! Alchemy your a fool if you think those are your flaws!!" the blond grinned and Alchemy began to feel her real tears slip down her face.
"I feel like a fool when Im around you. Out of all the kids here you chose to be my friend even though I don't amount to much. Your this great kid with many fans. And Im the shy girl...who is often forgotten. But Im so glad your my friend and I don't know if its foolish or perfect." Alchemy poured out crying and smiling at the same time.
Scorpius grinned. "Lets be friends forever and find out if its foolish."
