TW: domestic violence, abuse
"yeah i remember how pissed mom was over that." jordan laughed, remembering the time josh drew on his bedroom wall as a child.
"oh god, she didn't want to even look at me for like a week after that." josh replied, also laughing.
josh and jordan were on a little brother lunch date to catch up. the last time they had seen each other was about a month ago, when josh and tyler had broken up last. typically, when josh leaves he goes and stays with jordan and his wife.
"does she ever talk to you?" josh asked.
"not really. except for like holidays and stuff."
"yeah me too. she's always been the type to kinda just forget about people." josh laughed.
"for real." jordan nodded with a mouthful of his sandwich. "tyler?" he gestured to joshs phone that started buzzing.
"yeah, i'll be right back." josh sighed, getting up and walking to a quieter place.
"hey baby." he said into the phone.
"where are you?" tyler said sternly.
"i'm eating lunch at panera with jordan."
"why didn't you tell me?"
"you were sleeping, i didn't want to wake you up."
"come home."
"i'm about to, we're almost done eating." josh rolled his eyes.
"well hurry up i'm tired off waiting around." tyler snapped. josh wanted so badly to snap back, but he really just didn't want to fight today.
"okay. do you want me to bring anything back?"
"nah."
"okay, love you bye."
"bye."
josh huffed and hung up the phone, walking back to the table.
"what'd he have to say?" jordan asked. jordan didn't like tyler for obvious reasons.
"just wondering where i was. he was asleep when i left." josh said, a little shaken up.
"ahh." jordan nodded.
"damn i'm full. thank you for lunch." josh groaned, putting his small amount of leftovers in his to go box.
"me too and of course." jordan said.
they walked out together, heading to their cars that were parked beside each other.
"i'll see you soon." josh said.
"yeah, you call me if you need anything. you know my doors always open." jordan reminded him.
"i know, thank you." josh said, smiling and quickly getting in his car.

he pulled into the driveway, dreading going inside.
he walked in and was met with tyler on the couch. he set his box on the island, and went over to him.
"hey." josh smiled, sitting next to him.
"hey." tyler said, kissing him and turning back to the tv.
"you okay?" josh asked.
"yeah." tyler said, looking over at him.
"sorry i didn't tell you i was going." josh said.
"yeah." tyler just nodded.
"tyler."
"what?"
"just talk to me. why are you pissed?" josh said.
