"damnit. i don't know where else we can go to get some." tyler huffed, climbing in the drivers seat of his car. josh was sitting in the passengers seat, waiting. tyler just knocked on brendon's door, who was their 21 year old friend that could buy them alcohol, but of course he wasn't home.
"it's okay ty, we don't need to. i'm okay my birthday was fun." josh said. yesterday was his 16th birthday, and he had a party but tyler wanted to celebrate with him.
"no it's not okay we need to celebrate." tyler said, putting his car in drive.
"we can do it another day. when brendon's home." he said, checking his messages. tyler got on his phone, answering his girlfriends text.
"hey, don't text and drive." josh said.
"sorry, jenna's mad at me." tyler said, pulling into his house driveway.
"what for this time?" josh asked.
"i don't know somethin about me never hanging out with her." tyler shrugged, getting out of his truck along with josh.
they walked in the house, tyler looking around.
"hmm, where is everyone?" tyler said, calling his mom. "hey, where are y'all? oh. okay. alright. love you." he said, hanging up the phone.
"where are they?" josh asked, sitting down on the island in the kitchen.
"mom and dad are going to a christmas party or something and they aren't gonna be home tonight. and she doesn't know where zack is but i know he's at his girls house." tyler said, reaching in the fridge and grabbing a coke.
"ahh. thanks." he said when tyler handed him one.
"wait shit." tyler said, opening the freezer and finding a few bottles of liquor.
"are they gonna know we took it?" josh asked, taking the bottle from his hand and reading it.
"nah, they never drink. i don't even know why they have this." tyler said.
"alright, sweet." josh smiled, opening the lid and tasting it.
"is it good?" tyler asked, grabbing it.
"no, but it's alcohol." he shrugged. tyler tried it too, shrugging his shoulders. "grab us some cups." josh said.
tyler grabbed two red solo cups, pouring their cokes in each of them before he pouring a generous amount of the liquor. they were both lightweights, only having been drunk a few times. so the amount they poured of the strong liquor would be enough.
"cheers to a happy 16." tyler said, clinking their cups together before they both took a swig. they took their shoes off and everything, leaving them both in their shorts and shirts and nike socks
"well, what do you wanna do?" tyler asked.
"you wanna watch tv?" josh proposed. tyler nodded, following josh into the living room. they sat on the couch, tyler turning on netflix.
"how about a scary movie?" josh said.
"if we can find a good one." tyler nodded, scrolling through. they finally found one, tyler clicking on it and setting the remote down.
"this actually tastes pretty good now." josh said, taking another big drink. tyler agreed.
"jenna finally got on birth control." tyler said, laughing a little bit.
"damn, she needed to. y'all still gonna use a condom?" tyler asked.
"oh yeah. i'm not risking it." he laughed. they were teenage boy bestfriends, so of courses they shared everything with each other. tyler lost his virginity to jenna, and josh lost his to some girl that used to go to their school, but now she moved.
