Gold woke up in the middle of the night to Silver mumbling in his sleep. Instead of mumbling the things he liked, he was mumbling the things that sounded like what someone would say in a nightmare.
Infact- he was having a nightmare! He started sweating madly, breathing hard and tossing and turning, which caught Gold's attention.
"No dad, please don't hurt Eevee, he hasn't done anything wrong..." Silver said. For the very first time, he looked terrified-in his sleep!
Gold became more concerned. He tried to ignore his desperate pleas, which didn't work in the slightest.
"Let go!.. Give Eevee back! No! What are you doing...? Stop that!" Silver cried. He unconsciously pushed away Gold when he tried to hug him to calm him down.
Silver sprang up from his sleep.
"Silver, are you ok!?" Gold gently placed his hand on Silver's muscular shoulder.
"Don't touch me!" Silver fearfully slapped Gold's hand away without realising it was him.
"Silver?" Gold was shocked. He had just been hit by Silver.
"Sorry about that Gold, I thought you were someone else." Silver replied.
"Silver..." Gold thought.
Later on, Silver started to act really strange. He became more uneasy and started to feel unsafe around Gold. Instead of getting mad at him, he would jump at his presence.
"Hey Silver, I cut you some orange." Gold placed the plate of oranges on the table. Silver jumped.
"Silver, is there something wrong?" Gold asked.
"No, I'm ok..." Silver answered while putting on a fake smile. He was expecting Gold to say okay, but instead, he said,
"You're terrible at lying." Silver looked at Gold. "Now tell me what's wrong."
"Hey Gold, don't worry there isn't anything wrong and I'm not lying." Silver lied again. This time, Gold's face went closer to Silver's, so he wouldn't turn away. Their faces were so close that for the first time, Silver was blushing.
"Stop lying and tell me what's wrong!" Gold was pissed. Silver was afraid that if he lied to Gold anymore, he would snap. And that would be scary.
"Okay, I'll tell you."
