I don't want to go home...
I sit in my jeep for a bit longer before walking into my house. If only I could escape this place. I don't know where I'd go, as long as it's far from here.
You'd probably go to Cameron, a small voice says in my head. I get out of my jeep and walk inside, trying to be silent. I quietly run up stairs to my room, but before I could walk inside something caught my eye. In my Allen's torn apart bedroom, I see an iPhone on the dresser.
My phone!
I race in and grab it then race into my room, locking the door behind me. I probably spend about half an hour trying to remember my password. When I unlock it I do a little happy dance.
A wide grin appears on my face, something to brighten my day, finally!
__________Next Day__________
I hide at lunch. As soon as the bell rings I was the first person to leave class. I run into the girls washroom and hid in a bathroom stall. I knew what Dawson and Zack had planned and I was scared out of my mind. I haven't seen Cam all day, which was kind of a good thing. I had no idea how he would act, if he was going to be good Cam or bad Cameron.
I managed to last the whole lunch hour, but I waited a bit extra, just I case if they were waiting for me. Cause I know they'd skip class for a beating. I know from past expirience. I missed a bit of P.E class when I get there, but I honestly didn't care.

"Ashlynn!" I turn around to see Maddi running at me.
"Aren't we going dress shopping?" She asks me.
"I...Can't," I say honestly, "Cam wants us to work on our project."
Maddi gives me a confused look, "Cameron Dallas actually cares about work, that's weird," then she slyly smirks, "maybe it's just an excuse to hang out with you."
Her comment makes me think for a bit. Could she be right?
"Well that's fine, I'm sure we could go another day," she says, walking towards the door, "bye!"
"Hey Maddi!" I hesitate, "I got a new phone, what's your number?" I ask.
She squeals, "O.M.G!" She runs over and we swap numbers, "ok well, see you later alligator!" I wave goodbye and start gathering my stuff. I look over my shoulder to see if I was being watched. I sling my bag over my shoulder and walk out of the school. I wasn't sure where to meet Cam, knowing that he wasn't at school today, so I just wait in the parking lot. I look at the time on my phone, 3:25. I put it back in my pocket, when I'm suddenly rammed into the side of the large dumpster. I felt my wounded hand being crushed between my side and the dumpster. I wince in pain and I look at my attacker. Dawson and Zack. I try to get up but Zack kicks at my side.
"Zack stop!" I shout trying to get up as Zack continues to kick me.
Dawson comes over and kicks me as well.
I hear the sound of a tire screeching against the pavement followed by a male shouting "Hey."
Zack and Dawson stop kicking me and turn around. I look in between there feet to see none other than Cameron. I small smile appears on my face.
"Hey Cameron, came to join in on the fun?" Dawson smirks. My smile fades. Cameron glances at me.
Memories flood my mind on the last time this happened.
Please Cameron!
Please don't!
Please!
"No," he says simply, catching Dawson and Zack off guard, "screw off."
Dawson and Zack exchange confused and shocked glances, "I said screw off!" Cam repeats more stern, scaring me slightly.
Dawson and Zack walk away glaring at Cam and I. Cam glares them down as they leave. When they're out of sight, the seriousness and intimidating look in Cam's eyes are replaced with softness and concern. He walks over to me and pulls me up to my feet. As soon as I'm up on my feet I hug Cam with happiness. He hugs me tight against his chest, breathing in deeply.
"Are you hurt?" he asks concerned. I ignore the pain in my sides and shake my head 'No.'
We start walking to where Cam's motorcycle was. I see a black drift mark on the ground that led to the back tire. Cam sits on the front and I sit behind him with a tearstained face. I wrap my arms around his stomach and he pulls out of the parking lot. We start picking up speed and I clutch my bag with one hand, a small grin on my face as the breeze blows through my hair. I rest my head on Cam's back as we drive across the familiar route that leads to the beach house. I close my eyes and take a deep breathe. Cam parks in the lot and we walk down the wooden stairs to the beach cabin. I set my bag on the kitchen island beside Cameron's. I swipe a strand of hair behind my ear and watch as Cam unloads his backpack.
Binder.
Pencil.
Sunscreen.
Swimming trunks.
Swimming trunks?
"I have a feeling we didn't just come here to study," I state with a smirk.
"What makes you think that?" Cam smirks as I point to his swimming trunks, "I thought we could go for a dip."
"I don't have a swim suit," I state.
"There's a store not far from here, I'm sure they'll have something," he says grabbing his keys, "that's if you're up for another ride."
I smirk and race outside to his bike, Cam not to far behind with a smirk on his face. I hop onto his bike and to my surprise he sits behind me.
"Shouldn't I-" I say but he cuts me off.
"You're fine this way," he says, putting his hands on the handles. He leaned over top of me with his arms on both of my sides. I felt safe. We start driving and I hold onto the handles, my hands on top of Cam's. I look back at Cam as we smile at each other. We pull into a small beach town and Cam parks in front of a small store. We both walk inside together, the ocean breeze blowing my hair. The air conditioning is refreshing and Cam guides me through the store. I find a wide selection of bathing suits, one pieces two pieces and very... showy ones.
I look at some I the suits when I feel Cam's hot breathe on my neck as he stands directly behind me. I get goosebumps.
"Finding anything?" He asks quietly. I shake my head. He helps me look and grabs a purple two piece tankini. He hands it to me and guides me to the change rooms. I walk inside and lock the door behind me. I change into the swimsuit and look at myself in the mirror. I hear Brittany's voice in my head.
Ugly.
Fat.I close my eyes tightly, trying to block the voice out.
"When your changed I want you to come out so I can see," I hear Cam say.
I hesitantly step out of the dressing room, crossing my arms over my stomach. Cameron walks over and gently uncrosses my arms.
"Looks good," he says with a small grin.
That remark gives me a sudden boost of confidence in myself. I ha he back into my clothes and Cam pays for my swimsuit after I protest for five minutes. As we step out of the store I stop in my steps when I see Dawson, Zack and Damien all staring me down. Well more like glaring. I feel a protected arm wrap around my side as Cam guides me to his motorcycle staring back at Dawson and them.
Dawson glances at me and smirks with a small chuckle with catches me off guard. Is he saying that I'm not safe? Not safe with Cameron?
I look at Cam who still has a straight face as we drive out of the small town to the beach house, me riding behind Cam.
