The Border Zone was as quiet as ever at night, some people heading home while others used the area to go to another district. Not a lot of action happens around these parts, it mainly serves as a housing area with a few shops nestled between the two big districts, which is why it's the most peaceful area in Hell.

Inside the rusty two-story house on the corner, the repeated beeping of the microwave could be heard in the kitchen, a small bowl of macaroni and cheese was piping hot inside. The hot steam leaked out once Phoenix opened the little door, retrieving their dinner.

Phoenix paced around in their kitchen anxiously while eating their meal, their phone on the table with Meria's contact information on screen. They knew it was time to confess what happened that day, but they was scared of how Meria was going to respond to it.

Letting out a dejected sigh, they picked up their phone, hovering their finger over the call button. After a few back and forth decision making in their head, they finally pressed the button, praying that Meria was too busy to answer. Unfortunately for them, Meria picked up right away.

"Hello?" Meria answered.

"Are you busy right now?" Phoenix asked.

"Not really, what do you need?"

"I...need to talk to you about something serious. Can you swing by later?"

"I'll be there in thirty minutes,"

"Alright, I'll see you soon," Phoenix said, hanging up the phone.

They look around at the mess they made during their long stay inside, the kitchen was a mess with dirty dishes piled up in the sink and food left out. The living room was even worse with clothes and blankets shattered everywhere with snack wrappers laid out on the coffee table. They didn't want to get scolded by Meria when she sees this, so they started cleaning up the rooms.

The chores were being done at a good pace, the kitchen looked a lot better than before. Dishes were soaking in water, food was put away, and counter tops were wiped down. They had completely forgotten about the meal they made, letting it go cold. The living room was tidied up nicely, trash was thrown away, and the floor was swept.

Picking the pillow off the ground, Phoenix went to put them back when their eyes landed on the turtle plushie they got yesterday. They put the pillows back and picked up the plushie, feeling the soft fabric that covered it. Holding it brought back memories of yesterday's day out with Vox. The last time she did something like that was when she was still alive during her high school days, heading to the nearby mall with friends to get food and shopping done while waiting for her dad to get off of work. Doing all that again with a new friend brought a smile to her face, hoping for more times like that.

A knock could be heard coming from the garage, bringing them back to reality. Put down the plushie, Phoenix made their way out of the living room and into the garage. Opening the door, Meria stood in front dressed in her normal work attire, a short black shirt and white blouse with a loose necklace.

"Thanks for coming on such short notice," Phoenix said, opening the door more.

"It's no problem," Meria said, coming in, "What's going on?"

"I'm gonna need another one of your therapy sessions again," Phoenix said weakly.

"Are you having trouble controlling your rage?" asked Meria.

"Yeah..." Phoenix said with disappointment.

"Alright then," Meria said, summoning a notebook and pen, "Let's get set up in your room."

The two went upstairs to the second floor and went into Phoenix's bedroom. A small desk was in the corner, harboring all sorts of books on Hell and Chemicals, a unused laptop laid opened covered in dust. Their twin bed was made with turtle plushies decorating the top of it.
