A young girl, with long light brown hair plaited in a braid, waited for her master outside of the council room. She sat on the ground next to the closed door, waiting for her master to come out.

Suddenly the doors opened, the girl, Artemis, sprung up hoping to see her master, but instead she saw a boy with golden hair, he looked not much older than her and she could sense through the force that he longed for someone.

Artemis let out a soft sigh in annoyance and leant back on the wall to slide down it till she sat on the floor again, though she didn't realise the look the sigh gained her a look from the boy.

The boy let out a huff and dropped down onto his knees in front of her, Artemis looked up to him and frowned in confusion. "Uh...Hello". Artemis muttered she looked into his eyes, they're so blue like the sky or ice, she thought.

"Hello". The boy voiced more confidently than she did. Then Artemis realised something, maybe this was the boy that people think is the chosen one? "Are you the chosen one?" She asked. The boy nodded but then said."Well I think, master Qui-Gon thought I was but some of the council don't" He mumbled while shrugging.

"Well, chosen one, everyone else beli-". She started but was cut off by the boy. " Anakin, Anakin Skywalker...sorry I just didn't want you calling me chosen one all the time". He interrupted. "Oh... it's okay, anyway I was saying that everyone believes that you're the chosen one anyway so who cares what the council thinks, Anakin". She said the last part teasingly and they both started to laugh a bit.

When their laughter died down Anakin spoke again. "So then what's your name?" He asked. "Oh sorry I forgot, my name is Artemis, Artemis Solstice". I said while still giggling a little. "Artemis...". Anakin trailed off like he was thinking. "We have the same initials!" Anakin shouted and was given looks but they didn't care. Artemis thought for a moment, Her initials were A and S, so Anakin's was...yes! She thought, he is right we do have the same initials! "That's so cool Anakin"! She shouted, they were again given looks by the people around them but they didn't care or they just didn't realise.

They were silent for a moment before Anakin announced. "We should make nicknames for each other". Artemis's eyes widened,she sat up straight and gasped "Anakin that's the best idea!" She shouted even louder than before and this time they did see the looks sent their way.

Artemis looked down in embarrassment but Anakin quickly stood up and grabbed her hand to pull her along. At first she squealed as he pulled her but then it faded into giggles and soon Anakin joined in too.

Anakin soon asked if she knew anywhere they could go because he'd never actually been here before, Artemis laughed at him but agreed to bring them somewhere, she decided to bring them to a hidden courtyard in a quite desolate part of the temple. They weren't thinking about their masters right know they were just thinking about each other and how they knew that they would, hopefully, be friends for a long time.

The courtyard was small and empty, it had a large tree in the centre surrounded by different types of flowers and bushes, it had stone benches and other small but intricate stone statues, it was probably used for meditation years ago, but some people must still come here for it was well maintained.

There was also a small skinny tree in the corner beside a bench, Anakin and Artemis decided to sit down on that bench as it was the most hidden and nobody would see them if someone did come in, even if it was most unlikely.

"My master brings me here sometimes to meditate" Artemis said as she fixed her robes. Anakin nodded "Who is your master?" Anakin asked after a moment. "Master Vale". Artemis replied. Anakin nodded. "So we were taking about nicknames". He voiced. Artemis nodded . "Do you already have a nickname?" She inquired. "Yeah, it's Ani". He responded. "Do you have one?" "No...". Artemis muttered embarrassed. "It's okay, we can make one for you! Okay let's see Artemis...maybe, Arti?" He wondered. Before he could even think of anymore, Artemis gasped. "Ani I love it!"

They both giggled at their new nicknames for each other and then decided to lie down on the grass. After a few minutes Anakin spoke. "I have another nickname for you Arti". He whispered to her. "Really? What is it?" She questioned. "Star". He said as a big grin appeared on his face. "Star? Why that Ani?" She asked. "Because Artemis is a star, look". He said while pointing up to the dark, cloudless sky.

She looked up to where he was pointing and he was right. Arti had never payed much attention to the night sky but it was beautiful, all the stars and cosmos was like a painting, she couldn't help but wonder what the sky looked like from other planets or does it all look the same?

With Anakins help she found The Artemis constellation. "I used to look at the stars all the time back on Tatooine". He whispered so quiet she nearly missed it. She simply nodded and kept looking at the different stars.

After another few minutes, they suddenly both heard shouts of their names. They shot up and after looking at each other for a moment they sprinted toward the sound.

The source of the sound was their angry and worried masters. Arti and Ani heard a mixture of 'Where have you two been' and 'We have been looking for you everywhere' and also much more. They were both pulled off in separate directions by their masters, Anakin left and Artemis right, but they both gave a happy wave to each other.They both knew they would most likely be in a lot of trouble.

Little did they know they wouldn't properly see each other for another 9 years...
