As Beerus arrived at the location. Goku couldn't help but notice something was missing. The usual enthusiasm was in his voice, but there was a tinge of confusion.

Goku: Hey, Beerus! Where are the other two fighters on our team?

Goku tilted his head curiously, looking around. Vegeta, arms crossed, awaiting for a response as well with Piccolo that remained composed, though equally puzzled.

Beerus, however, was in no mood to respond. His eyes narrowed as his fists clenched, still fuming internally from Gilgamesh's insults. "Hairless rat"? "Mongrel"? The mere recollection of the words caused a vein to throb on his temple. He stormed past Goku, completely ignoring him, and headed straight for Whis with a scowl of annoyance.

Goku blinked, confused by the lack of response. Vegeta confused, sensing Beerus' irritation, while Piccolo raised an eyebrow, clearly aware that something had gotten under the god's skin.

Goku: What's his problem? He didn't even answer me.

Whis chuckled softly, placing a hand on his staff before glancing at Goku with his ever-present smile.

Whis: Oh, don't take it personally, Goku. Lord Beerus had... a bit of an argument with one of the fighters he chose. Quite a heated exchange, actually.

Piccolo: An argument? That is never something good....

Whis: Let's just say one of Beerus chosen competitor, Gilgamesh, has rather a... Strong personality like our Prince of Saiyan's here. Their meeting didn't go exactly as planned. Gilgamesh and his companion, will be meeting us at the location of the stage directly. They had no interest in traveling with us.

Vegeta frowned, sensing the tension behind Whis' calm words.

Vegeta: Tch, as if we need someone arrogant in this tournament.

Goku scratched the back of his head, trying to process what was going on.

Goku: Gilgamesh, huh? Sounds like a strong guy! Why did they argue though?

Whis: Oh, nothing to worry about. It was simply a matter of... differing viewpoints. Lord Beerus was gracious enough to let it pass. Though, I'm afraid Gilgamesh has a habit of testing everyone's patience... Even his.

Beerus, overhearing the conversation, growled softly under his breath, still stewing over the insults Gilgamesh hurled at him. He didn't even bother correcting Whis' diplomatic choice of words. Instead, he crossed his arms and glared at the ground, clearly still agitated.

Beerus: 'Let it pass?' Hmph, I should've erased that arrogant mortal on the spot.

Whis, with his usual smile, tapped his staff lightly on the ground.

Whis: Now, now, Lord Beerus, there's no need for that. Besides, we must focus on the upcoming battles. We'll have plenty of time to settle other matters after we secure our victory.

Beerus grumbled under his breath, as Goku's excitement grew... If Beerus would let someone who tested his patience to continue living then this guy got to be super strong then!

Goku: Well, I can't wait to meet them! Sounds like things are gonna get interesting!

Vegeta: Just don't embarrass yourself, Kakarot. If these two are as strong as they sound, we'll need more than your usual foolishness.

With the air of tension still lingering, the group prepared for their next step: traveling to the tournament stage. Beerus remained agitated. Meanwhile, Goku and the others were left wondering just what kind of fighters Gilgamesh and his companion truly were, as their mysterious teammates would soon make their appearance.
