The halls of South Park High buzzed with the usual Monday morning energy. Y/N strolled in, The Strokes playing through her headphones, nodding casually to a few familiar faces. She spotted Kyle and Kenny at their lockers, both looking like they'd rather be anywhere else."Morning, losers," she grinned, pulling out an earbud. "Ready for a thrilling day?"
Kyle rolled his eyes, suppressing a yawn. "Oh yeah, can't wait. You see Stan yet?"
As if on cue, Stan appeared, skateboard tucked under his arm. "Sup, guys. Anyone else feeling like today's gonna drag?"
Kenny, his hood pulled up as usual, just shrugged. "Same shit, different day."
They made their way to history, where Mr. Stevens was already droning on about some ancient battle. Y/N doodled in her notebook, occasionally glancing up to make sure she wasn't missing anything important. Not that she really cared.
A folded paper landed on her desk. She opened it to find a stick figure drawing of Mr. Stevens with comically large tits, courtesy of Stan. She bit back a laugh, shooting him an amused look.
By lunchtime, they were all ready for a break. As they picked at their cafeteria food, Stan leaned in. "Hey, anyone up for skipping next period? I'm not feeling math today."
Kyle hesitated. "I don't know, man. We've already skipped twice this month."
"Come on," Y/N nudged him. "One more time won't kill you. We could go chill behind the gym."
Kenny perked up. "I've got some stuff we could smoke, if you're interested."
They exchanged looks, a silent agreement passing between them. When the bell rang, instead of heading to class, they casually made their way outside. They found their usual spot behind the gym, hidden from view by some overgrown bushes.
Kenny pulled out a joint, lighting it up and taking a hit before passing it around. They sat in a circle, talking shit about their teachers and making plans for the weekend.
They spent the period there, just hanging out and enjoying the break from classes. When the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, they reluctantly gathered their things.
"Anyone up for grabbing some food?" Stan asked as they walked back to their lockers.
Kenny shook his head. "Can't. Gotta pick up my sister from school."
"I've got work," Kyle sighed. "Catch you guys later?"
As they started to disperse, Stan turned to Y/N. "Hey, you wanna come over? Could watch some movies or something."
Y/N felt a little flutter in her stomach. "Yeah, sure. Sounds cool."
They said their goodbyes, Y/N and Stan heading towards his house. As they walked, Stan nudged her shoulder. "Thanks for hanging out. Mondays suck less with company."
Y/N smiled, feeling surprisingly content despite it being the start of another school week. "Anytime, Marsh."
