The sound of two footsteps echoing on the house floor continued for several minutes as Vee paced back and forth anxiously. His heart was beating strongly in his chest, almost out of rhythm. He hadn't slept since last night because today was the day he would finally find out the result of pouring all his effort into the theater play audition.

He had been waiting for a phone call since morning. Earlier, the staff had announced on their page that they would only contact those who were selected to join this project. When the specified date arrived, his anxiety doubled. From not having much expectation, it turned into the opposite. His desire to get it skyrocketed more than twofold. If he was selected as an actor in this play, not only would he get to work with his idol P'Jate, but he also secretly hoped that Boat would make it through as well, so they would have a chance to get closer than before.

Brrrr! Brrrr!!!

Finally, the phone call he had been waiting for came. He jumped when his phone vibrated loudly. His eyes widened before quickly looking at the phone screen displaying an unknown number calling. His heart beat even faster than before. He could feel that his hand was shaking and sweaty.

"Hello?"

"Hello! Is this Nong Vee?"

"Yes, it is."

"I'm calling from the 'Secret Love Under the Moonlight' theater project. I want to inform you that you've been selected as an actor for this project."

"Oh... okay."

"Yes, the role you've been cast for is Weha, the main character of the story."

"Okay."

"I'll send you an email with other details later, okay?"

"Yes, thank you."

"Alright! See you soon."

Yes!!!

Vee smiled widely and jumped for joy all around the small living room decorated with light-colored wooden furniture. The light shining through the glass made his house look more lively than before. The laughter of the homeowner echoed throughout the area.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" Vee said to the caller with a trembling voice.

As soon as he hung up, Vee quickly opened the Line application on his phone and called May, who had gone to work. Although it was just a video call, it allowed his friend to sense the excitement of the caller. The young man couldn't stop smiling. Finally, the opportunity he had been waiting for had arrived.

"Are you serious?!! Ahhh!! You really got the lead role? You jerk!! I'm so happy for you!" May's excited scream came through the speaker.

"Yeah, I got the role of Weha. I thought I was dreaming," Vee's voice expressed his excitement well.

"What about Nong Boat? Did he make it?" Suddenly, May asked about that junior her friend had been dreaming about.

"I don't know."

"If he made it too, oh my god!!"

"Yeah, if we get to act together, I'm done for. I won't let him slip away."

"You dog!! So scary!"

"Come on, swear you wouldn't do the same if it were you," Vee almost flipped his lips at the other party immediately because, in fact, these best friends didn't have such different personalities. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been friends for this long.

"Don't pretend to know... Oh! I have to go back to work now, or my boss might scold me," May looked left and right while speaking, wary of being reprimanded by her boss for secretly talking on the phone during work hours.
