My future was taken from me 7 years ago.
Now that I've got my life back it's gonna take a village to help me rebuild my life.

"...And last one." Some lady says then I look up from signing my contract and smile with Leah and Talia Martin as our picture is taken. "Thank you."
"So many pictures." I mumble as I finish signing my contract.
"Well we gotta announce our newest signing." Talia says.
"Yeah I know." I say as I pass the contract to Leah then the couple and I get up from the table and leave the press conference room here in the Inter New York training ground.
"Lunch is waiting for us in my office." Talia says.
"Sweet." I say as I look at one of the pages that Talia handed me when we got to the press conference room.

"Have you told them why I missed 8 years?" I question as I point to the players in the locker room as we pass.
"We have." Leah says as my new teammates come over to the door.
"So they know I've been to prison." I say.
"Yes, but they know why and they know you were exonerated." Talia says.
"So they know why I need you buddy." I say as I look at and pet my PTSD service dog Taco.

"I'm still upset at the reason he has cropped ears and a cropped tail." Leah says.
"Same." I say.
"Why were they cropped?" Ona Batlle asks.
"Taco was going to be used as a bait dog in a dog fighting ring so the bad man who owned him had his ears and tail cropped, but luckily the FBI broke up the ring before he could be hurt." I say.
I think the correct term is cropped, but who really cares.
"We'll see you all in the morning." Talia says then she and Leah lead Taco and I to her office.
When we get to the office there is three bags of food on Talia's desk in her office along with three drinks.
