After Yutai's quiet departure into his personal space, Takumi led Akito and the group towards a small circle of students laughing near the far end of the room. "Here's Hikaru," Takumi introduced, motioning toward a tall, lanky boy who was adjusting his glasses and grinning, his wavy chestnut hair tousled just enough to give him a casual look. "He's got an insane ability with illusions—can make you see just about anything he wants. Definitely a master at tricks and misdirection."Hikaru waved as they approached, his amber eyes twinkling with amusement.

He had the look of someone who was always ready for a bit of mischief. "Hey, Akito, right? I've heard about you—light and dark, huh? Sounds pretty intense!"Akito, still feeling the weight of the previous introductions, nodded awkwardly, not sure how to respond. "Yeah, that's me. Nice to meet you." With a sudden flash of movement, Hikaru grinned wider. "Check this out," he said, stepping back, his hands slipping into his pockets. Almost instantly, the air seemed to warp and shimmer.

The next thing Akito knew, there were two versions of Hikaru standing in front of him—one closer, and one near the wall. Both figures mirrored each other perfectly, even the small details like the way their sleeves shifted."Just a little warm-up trick," Hikaru's voice came from both versions at once. "I like to call it the 'dual vision.' Works pretty well to throw off opponents."Akito blinked, taking in the illusion. Both Hikarus moved in sync, making it hard to tell which one was real.

As he watched, the two figures slowly merged back into one, the illusion dissipating like smoke."It's all about creating confusion," Hikaru said, his real self now standing right in front of Akito, giving him a wink. "It can be really useful in a fight when you need to keep someone guessing. You ever seen something like that before?"Akito nodded, more impressed than he expected. "That's... pretty wild. I can see how that would be useful."Hikaru chuckled, flashing a playful grin.

"Yeah, it keeps people on their toes. Light and dark, huh? I bet you and I could make quite the team—one to mess with their sight, the other with their minds."Akito smiled back. "Maybe."Hikaru's grin grew even wider, but there was a hint of respect in his eyes now. "I'll be keeping an eye on you, Akito. Could be fun working together one of these days."

Akito nodded before walking off to sit down. He was mentally drained, he'd never met so many people in one day in such sort time, and he was still reciuperating from the bus incident. Soon enough, Takumi made his way over to Akito. "Hey, you ready? There's still so many cool people for you to meet!" "No, I'm going to my room. This party went from quiet, to Loud in a matter of minutes ." Akito said this time more sternly. "But we're just getting-" "I'm tired, Takumi." Takumi noticed the annoyance and slight harshness in Akito's voice and decided to back off, as he wished him a good night.

Haruka greeted Akito as he entered the room. She could tell he was out of it so she let him be. Kanjo was sleeping peacefully, but Akito was too tired to wake her up and argue. Two days finally passed and the entrance exam day was now upon the students. "Ooh ooh I'm soooo excited for the entrance exam!" Kanjo said as she jumped up and down. Haruka brushed Akito's hair, to make him look more appropriate. "No chains." She said she she saw him reaching for his chain clip. "And NO grandpa sweaters." She said in an even firmer voice. He rolled his eyes, but listened to her. Sometimes she felt like a mother, and other times, more like and older sister, either way, he respected her.

The walk to the school was not far at all, being that the hotel was right across the street. "I'm going to miss that hotel.. I mean it was first nice place I've slept in.. forever!" Kanjo rambled. "I agree, it was so nice to be treated like a queen for once.'' Haruka said as she rambled on with Kanjo. Akito however was too preoccupied thinking about the students he met last night. He didn't know any but one's abilities, and he alone seemed very powerful. 'Gonna be some tough competition, and what was Takumi's power again? I should've been researching that before trying to play friends.' Akito thought to himself with a sigh.

As they stepped through the towering gates of Stargazer Academy, Akito couldn't help but feel small. The academy was nothing like their quiet little town—it was vast and gleaming, almost like a city unto itself. The main building loomed ahead, an impressive structure of glass and metal that seemed to stretch toward the sky, reflecting the sunlight in every direction. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings of celestial bodies, like constellations frozen in time. Students buzzed around in the courtyard, some floating mid-air, others surrounded by swirling auras of energy, giving off the impression that this was a place where extraordinary was the norm. The sheer size of the academy was overwhelming. The paths were wide enough to fit a small army, lined with futuristic-looking trees that shimmered faintly under the sunlight. Even the air felt different here—crisper, more vibrant, as though the school itself hummed with energy."Whoa," Kanjo whispered, her eyes wide as she stared at the grand entrance. "This place is... huge."Haruka, standing just behind them, nodded, though her expression was filled with more concern than awe. "Are you two sure about this?" she asked, her voice soft but worried. "I mean... it's nothing like home."Akito remained silent, his gaze locked onto the massive front doors of the main hall. He could feel a tightening in his chest. It wasn't that he was afraid, but the weight of what lay ahead pressed down on him. A part of him still wished he could have stayed behind, far from this world of heroes and powers he didn't fully understand yet.Kanjo, sensing his hesitation, nudged him with a gentle smile. "Come on, Akito. We're here now. And besides..." She motioned toward the throng of students passing by, each of them radiating confidence. "...it might not be so bad. We'll figure it out."Akito finally tore his eyes from the building and looked at her, forcing a small smile in return. "Yeah. I guess so."With that, they took their first steps into the world of Stargazer Academy, a place where the extraordinary became routine—and where Akito would soon find his path intertwined with students whose abilities could reshape the very fabric of reality.
