(a/n: yep inspired by the song above, it's such a good song, maybe recommended when reading.)

"it's you and me..."

no one understands the pain of aether. no one at all, this is probably the reason why everyone neglected his feelings and crushed him with quest after quest. it's like running towards the light, but the light is just a tiny firefly. there is no hope at all, putting on a cheeky grin while slowly rotting.

at this point, finding lumine is like forging an ancient name to a stranger. (almost) impossible. it's never lumine's fault, no, she was the victim. it was the usurper king, the almightly heavenly principles.

"if i only could, i'd make a deal with god."

lumine is fighting with the gods, struggling to contain her breath. every second, an "angelic being" came out raging towards her weary self. she's only destructing herself, curse you almighty "king of the heavens". you're acting all kind when you're only a cruel person. hurting and making people sick under the reason of "wanting the best".

"princess! you should rest..."
"leave me alone."

you, usurper king, is never a good person. you made the life of makoto, rukkadevata, focalors and so many more divine beings, who actually cares for their citizen more. they died for the cost of safety, while the cold heavens looked down on them, laughing for their devotion to their nation.

"and i'd get him to swap our places."
"be runnin' on that road, be runnin' on that hill, be runnin' on that building."

"we do not belong to this place, and caribert's soul disappeared... this place will soon be like him." - lumine said, patting aether's head as he frowns.

"why didn't you tell me sooner?..."

crack, the vision suddenly shattered like a mirror. red and blue overlay lines seeped through the lines, making it flashy. he saw a distorted image of lumine before all he can see is a void-like place. he felt dark, cold and bitter, completely opposite when he was talking to lumine a few moments ago.

"so if i only could..."

if only he could see her again, with him and beaming. god, does he miss her smile.
