The sunlight streamed through my window, casting a warm glow across my room. I blinked awake, the events of last night flooding back into my mind. My heart raced as I recalled the kiss with Darren-the way his lips felt against mine, the warmth of his hands, the electric connection that had sparked between us. I could still feel the flutter in my stomach, the rush of excitement that had come with it.
"Wow, that was definitely not just a date," I murmured to myself, sitting up in bed. I glanced at my phone, half-expecting a message from him, but it was silent. A twinge of disappointment crept in, but I quickly shook it off. We had both been busy, and it was still early.
I swung my legs over the side of the bed, still wearing the dress from last night. It felt surreal that just hours ago, I had been lost in the glow of a fancy restaurant, wrapped in the thrill of being with Darren. But now, I had to face the reality of my day ahead.
After a quick shower, I decided to wear a comfortable outfit-simple jeans and a cozy sweater-before heading to the cafeteria for breakfast. As I made my way across campus, I couldn't help but replay every moment from last night in my mind. What did the kiss mean? Were we officially a couple now? Did we need to define it? The questions swirled like a storm in my head.
I arrived at the cafeteria and grabbed my usual-a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee. The place was bustling with students, their chatter filling the air, but all I could focus on was the lingering sensation of Darren's kiss.
I sat down with my food, but my mind was elsewhere. My phone buzzed on the table, and I nearly knocked over my coffee in my rush to check it.

Darren: Hey, beautiful. Hope you're having a great morning!

I felt a smile stretch across my face as I read his message. My fingers danced over the screen as I replied.

Me: Good morning! I can't believe last night happened. Still buzzing from that kiss!

His response came almost immediately.

Darren: Me too. I've been thinking about it all morning. Can we meet later?

A thrill ran through me. I quickly typed back.

Me: Definitely! What time?

Darren: How about 3 PM? I'll pick you up.

My heart raced at the thought of seeing him again so soon.

Me: Sounds perfect!

I finished my breakfast, feeling giddy and light. My mind raced with possibilities of what our meeting could entail. Maybe we'd talk about what last night meant for us. Maybe we'd go for a walk, or he'd surprise me again with something special.
After breakfast, I headed to the library to study. I needed to focus, but it was hard with thoughts of Darren swirling around in my head. As I sat down at a table, I pulled out my textbooks and tried to concentrate, but my mind kept drifting back to him-his smile, his laugh, and the way he made me feel so at ease.
Around noon, I took a break and stepped outside for some fresh air. The campus was alive with students, laughter echoing through the walkways. I spotted Sarah sitting on a bench, waving me over.
"Hey, girl! How was your date with Mr. Billionaire?" she teased, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"It was amazing," I replied, unable to hide my smile. "We went to this incredible restaurant, and we... we kissed."
"Oh my God! You kissed?" she exclaimed, clapping her hands. "What was it like?"
"It was... wow. Just perfect," I said, trying to find the words. "It felt like everything just clicked, you know? But I don't know what it means for us."
"Doesn't matter right now! You're in the moment, and that's what counts. Just enjoy it!" she encouraged, her excitement infectious.
We chatted for a while, and it felt good to share my feelings with someone. Sarah always had a way of helping me see things more clearly.
Eventually, I checked my watch and realized it was almost time for Darren to pick me up. "I need to get going. I'm meeting Darren soon."
"Go get your billionaire! I want all the details later!" she called after me as I walked away, a grin still plastered on my face.
As I approached the hostel, I felt a mix of anticipation and nervousness. What would he say? How would he react? I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart.
When I heard the familiar purr of his car, I felt a rush of excitement. I stepped outside just as he pulled up, looking effortlessly handsome in a casual outfit that somehow still screamed luxury.
"Hey, gorgeous," he said, stepping out and flashing me that signature smile that sent my heart racing.
"Hey! You look great," I replied, feeling a blush creep up my cheeks.
"Thanks. Ready for an adventure?" he asked, his eyes glinting with mischief.
"Absolutely," I said, feeling a surge of adrenaline.
As I got into the car, the thrill of possibility hung in the air. Whatever was about to unfold, I was ready to embrace it with open arms.
