As Elena Lay on the couch, She took a deep breath before dialing her father's number.
It rang about three times before he finally answered and a large smile made it's way to her face.
📞Hello daddy, How are you doing?📞
She heard shuffling sounds in the background before his voice finally came up.
📞She finally remembers her dad📞
Elena chuckled.
📞Am sorry daddy.....I miss you alot📞
📞 I miss my beautiful princess a lot too, How are you doing? 📞. He said softly.
📞 Am good and you?📞. She smiled.
📞 Am doing good 📞. He responded sighing.
📞 That's good to hear, Always take of yourself Dad.📞
📞 Of course, How's school? 📞. He asked and she sighed.
📞Stressful but good, Georgia makes my life less boring 📞
She heard him chuckle over the phone and she smiled again.
📞 And how's Georgia? 📞
📞 She's doing Good 📞. She replied.
📞 Ario told me about what happened to you and your apartment,Why didn't you tell me about the fire sweetie? 📞
As her Dad asked the question, Her heart sank. She felt like a child caught in a lie.
📞 Am sorry daddy,I didn't want to worry you 📞 . Elena said,Her voice barely a whisper.
📞 Worry me?, Elena you're my daughter. I want to know when something's wrong 📞. Her dad responded, His tone gentle but firm.
📞 Am sorry dad, it won't happen again. I promise 📞
Elena took in her lips patiently waiting for his response. Was he mad at her?
Guilt suddenly crept into her, She suddenly regretted not telling him.
📞 Dad....... 📞. She called out and she heard a heavy sigh on the phone.
📞Am here Sweetie,Am not mad at you dear.I just...I might not be able to replace your mother in your life but am always here for you,I want to make you happy.Don't hide things from me dear...Whenever something happens,I wanna be the first to know📞
Elena nodded, gripping her phone. The sudden reminder of her late mum suddenly made her wanna cry.
She missed her so much. She missed her voice,Her hugs,Her presence.
📞 Okay dad,Am sorry 📞. She muttered quietly.
📞 it's okay sweetie, How's Ario? 📞
📞 He's fine,He stepped out a while ago 📞. She responded softly.
📞 Am glad you both are getting along, When are you returning back to your apartment? 📞
📞 I don't know,The police hasn't informed me when yet. Probably soon though 📞. She responded.
📞 Okay then, I have to go now sweetie. I'll talk to you later 📞
Elena smiled.
📞 Alright then, Take of yourself. Bye...Kisses📞.
Elena hanged up still smiling, Speaking to her dad made her feel good. She was about to drop her phone when it vibrated and she looked at it.
A loud happy squeal left her lips and she immediately dialed Georgia's number, She answered almost immediately.
