CHAPTER NINETEEN: COMFORTING HIM
Ario felt like his whole world had just shattered as he heard the word 'She's dead',His motorcycle roared to life beneath him as he drove in speed towards the hospital.
His heart was pounding hard against his chest as the word replayed in his head over and over again.....No she wasn't dead, The doctor was probably blabbing nonsense.....No he refused to believe she was gone, She wouldn't dare leave him alone in this world, She'd promised to stay with him, She'd promised to recover, She'd promised to get well.
He finally got to the hospital, He bursted into her ward within minutes and his gaze dropped on the nurse covering his mother's body.
His eyes burned with anger and rage. "No"Ario growled shoving the nurse aside then his hands grasped his Nana's shoulders, Shaking her.
"Wake up, Please, Wake up"His voice cracked and his eyes were teary as he continued shaking her.
He felt a hand on his shoulder but he continued trying to wake her up. "Mum please,You can't do this to me....To Georgia. Please just open your eyes, Please...Am sorry okay, Am sorry that I wasn't here sooner.... Please open your eyes, I know I haven't been the best son towards you but I promise to be good, I'll be a better person..... Please open your eyes"When he got no response from her, He tried to hold back the tears but they spilled down his eyes.
"Am sorry Ario,We tried our be....."Ario turned to him sharply, His eyes filled with anger,pain and rage.
He grabbed the doctor by his collar and slammed him against the wall. "Ario...."
"You said she was going to be fine.... You said she was going to survive and then you let her die, You promised me she was going to be fine...."He shouted in a pained voice still holding the doctor harshly with red eyes.
"Am sorry Ario....."
"You're sorry!"He growled. "Will sorry bring back my mother huh,Tell me?....Will sorry bring her back?"He yells with rage and the doctor gulped in fear, suddenly scared.
"Answer me dammit"He slammed his fists against the wall and the doctor flinched shaking his head.
"Ario you have to calm down,Calm down. I know this is hurting you, I know you loved her alot,I know she meant everything to you. I know you're devasted by this tragic news and am sorry okay... You have to calm down, Calm down Son,Calm down"
Ario stepped backwards, Eyes teary. His eyes went back to her covered body lying on the hospital bed. A tear fell from his eyes.
"She's gone"He whispered painfully, holding the tears back in.
