Anubhav was standing alone in the police headquarters looking at the moon in the dark sky.

His mind was recalling each and every incident that changed his life.
Right from the time Haseena entered his life and till the time that dreadful incident happened.

In the police headquarters, a profound silence enveloped the air, broken only by the soft sound of Anubhav savoring his coffee.
The dim lighting cast long shadows across the room, creating an atmosphere of quiet contemplation.
Anubhav glanced at the clock on the wall, the ticking sound barely noticeable over the hum of the air.
The silence was broken when a police constable approached him.
Anubhav kept his coffee mug down and listened to him

" Sahab.... Out of control jaa raha hai.... " The constable said and Anubhav turned towards him in a victory smile.

" Sahab aap aise kyu dekh rahe hai.... " The constable asked as Anubhav smiled in victory.

" Chaliye sahab... Aap nhi aaye toh sach mein annarth hojayega..." The constable said fear evident in his eyes as Anubhav showed no sign of urgency as he took his coffee mug back in his hand and started sipping.

" Sir... Bohot bura haal pls sirrr... Hum phas jaayenge sabbb.... " The constable depicted the situation to be serious but Anubhav pulled out a chair and sat down.

Author's POV

Anubhav remained unmoved though the constable pleaded him to get up.
A winning smile lingering on his lips while the constable fearful and confused pleaded him to hurry.
Anubhav's expression seemed liked he had achieved a big achievement today.
Anubhav's chain of thoughts were broken when his phone ringtone reached his ears.
He texted the caller something and with a smile still lingering over his face he got up from the chair.

" Chaliye.... " Anubhav said placing the mug on his table after drinking a sip of coffee.

" Ha haa... Jaldi chaliye.... " The constable said his breathing becoming normal.

Author's POV

The senior junior duo reached outside a room and stood their while the constable opened the door with the keys he had in his hands.
The room was covered with darkness.
Darkness that signed something positive for the first time.
The room was all over dark
except a sliver of moonlight that filtered through a small window, casting eerie shadows on the walls.
The dark room sounded like screams of pain and sound of a leather belt beating on something.
Probably someone was busy beating someone with all the anger.
Shadows danced around them, weaving a tale of secrecy and danger.
