RUPTURES [ AOU × BOOM ]

8 : Darkness

[ THUNDERCLAPS ]

Huh! The eyes wide opened, staring straight at the ceiling throughout the dark gloomy atmosphere. He can't breathe, it was too painful to inhaled and exhaled the oxygen.

Urgh, he squeezed his own chest. Face reddened, lips trembled. He can't breathe... There was strong pressure on his chest and it gotten heavier second by second. 

The black smokes was everywhere. On the ceiling, next to the window, on the doorway and on the floor. Splattered like freaking black paint. Boom was scared to death and wanted to leave the bed but his body was stiff. He couldn't move.

He tried hard to check on Aou who slept next to him. That friend of his was lying with eye opened. His eyes was bloodshot red while staring at the ceiling. The smokes was trying to enter Aou's body through his mouth. 

Boom wanted to stop the event but he was too stiff. He was locked to the invisible chains. Tried to scream but his voice stucked on his throat. 

AOU... DON'T LET THEM... POSSESS YOU...

He whispered, hoping for some miracle. He can't let them take over Aou. No, THEY CAN'T!

The smokes slowly entered Aou's mouth and took over the young man's soul. Boom shivered when Aou was changed into something eerie. Chills down his spine, it was too creepy.

[ BOOM... ]

Aou's wasn't Aou anymore. He was turning into a demon....

[ BOOM... ]

Then, it was his turn to be control by them. They were opening his mouth and tried to go inside. He fought so hard to prevented himself from getting possess. 

"NO, I WON'T SURRENDER YOU'RE SON OF A B**CH!!"

[ BOOM, GET UP... ]

"Let's see how long you will survive..."

"You can't control me!"

"You are mine..."

"NOOOOO!!!"

[ BOOM, WAKE UP! ]

HUH! Boom finally woke up from his terrible nightmare. The moment he came back to reality, the first person he saw was Aou. 

"Hey, are you okay?" Aou asked with worried face. Boom was struggled in his sleep before.

Boom was scared and slammed himself on Aou's chest. The nightmare was too real and frightening. Thought he was too late to save Aou and was about to be possess too. Thanks God, it was only a bad dream!

Aou decided to wrapped his arms around Boom to calmed him down. Boom was shivering so hard and sweating. Wonder what he went through in his nightmare before. Must be very scary.

"I saw us got possessed." Boom slowly said while still hugging Aou. 

Aou nodded. He didn't ask any further to protect Boom's feeling. Boom was so affected and Aou didn't want it to become worse than that. They still got days to stay there before the new amulets ready to wear. Without the amulets, it was too dangerous to move anywhere. 

"Drink some water." Aou reached for the mineral water and gave it to Boom. 

Boom quickly emptied the water bottle. His throat was somehow dried and hurt. 

"What time is it?" Then he asked.

"4 pm."

So he overslept. He supposed to rest only for 2 to 3 hours after he swallowed the pills. His flu was a little bit better before the nightmare but became worse again after the nightmare.

"Your body is still very warm." Aou's eyebrows furrowed. He was feeling Boom's forehead with his hand.

"Can we... Go and meet the monk?" Boom said.

"But he told us to only talk to him when the amulets are done." Aou replied. Boom sighed.

"Do you have something to discuss with him?" Aou asked. Probably related to the nightmare.

"Is it really safe in here?" Boom asked while looking everywhere. In every angle.

"It is. Don't worry." Aou gently patted Boom's hand. The other person's hands was freezing cold. Boom must be so traumatized.

Boom slowly nodded and decided to trust Aou. As long as Aou was there with him... It will be okay. At least he wasn't alone like before and they were intertwined in destiny like what the monk have said.

[ WINDY ]

Boom was feeling under the weather again, his throat was hurt and it was painful to speak. His body felt sore all over. All he did was lying on the bed sleeping and resting... So why he felt so heavy?

"Boom, let's stay strong okay? Until the monk give us the amulets and we can leave this place together." 

Their eyes met, Boom's eyes sparkles with tears. Actually there was nothing to care at home anymore since his grandfather was gone. He was too scared to live alone after what happened. What if something bad will occur and harm Aou when they're separated?

Aou don't deserve all of these...

"After we have the amulets, can I continue to take care of you?" 

Aou's words startled Boom. It was like he can read his thoughts just now. He quickly nodded, he agreed with what Aou have said. Aou in the other hand was surprised with Boom's response. Didn't thought that Boom would easily accepted the proposal.

"I want to protect you from the demon." Boom said. Aou smiled.

"Let's protect each other."

Boom nodded, gently pulled Aou's hand and squeezed it. He won't let anything bad happen to Aou. He swore he will protect and take care of him until they're break free from the curse.

8 PM

[ COLD BREEZE SWAYED THE BLINDS ]

The both of them were having dinner. Boom wasn't in the mood of eating because he had no appetite but decided to eat due to Aou. He didn't have the heart to let him eat the dinner alone. 

[ LEAVES MOVES FROM THE TOUCH OF THE WIND ]

"Take your meds." Aou put the pills right in front of Boom. 

"Thanks." Boom took the pills and swallowed them with the help of a glass of lukewarm water. 

[ KNOCKS ON THE DOOR ]

"I will go see who is it." Aou stopped Boom from get up of his seat. 

[ KNOCK KNOCK ]

CLACK! The door opened... But nobody was outside. Aou walked across the doorway to checked.

[ 1 MINUTE PASSED ]

Boom got off of his seat and walked to the door, "Aou?"

There was no reply from Aou. The anxiety started to creep in. Boom's heart pumps harder than normal. He can't see anything except the pure darkness... He can't see Aou...

[ NOISE ]

"Aou?"
