A short while later, Bonnie had returned with papers about the mysterious group known as "The Five."

As she spread the papers across the table, her voice was filled with frustration. "How did I not know any of this stuff about Jeremy?"

Damon’s response was laced with irony. "The witch who loses her powers gets left out of the important conversations."

I shot Damon a warning look. "Damon, that's enough."

He shrugged, unrepentant, but his gaze softened slightly as he looked at me. We all knew the danger was far from over, and now more than ever, we had to stick together—even if it meant facing our fears and uncertainties head-on.

The day had already been filled with tension, but when Jeremy burst into the room, the weight of everything crashed down even harder. His eyes were wide with fear, immediately seeking answers.

"Is everything okay? Is it Elena?" he asked, his voice laced with worry.

I met his gaze, my heart heavy with the truth we had just uncovered. "We figured out how to help her," I said softly, feeling the burden of the words as they left my lips. "But… you need to kill a vampire."

Jeremy's eyes darkened, and without missing a beat, he replied with a sharp edge, "Great, give me a stake. I'll kill Damon right now."

Damon, ever the one to lighten a tense situation, smirked

Damon, ever the one to lighten a tense situation, smirked. "Easy, Van Helsing. We'll get you one. Don't worry."

Despite the gravity of the moment, I couldn't help but let out a small laugh. "He’s very enthusiastic, Damon."

Just then, Damon’s phone rang, and the brief moment of levity disappeared as he answered. Meanwhile, Bonnie handed Jeremy some papers, her face serious. "Before you do this, you need to know what you're getting yourself into."

As Damon spoke on the phone with Stefan, his expression shifted from confident to frustrated. “You can rest easy, brother. We figured out how to solve our little Elena problem.” There was a pause. “What? Again?”

He ended the call abruptly, turning back to us with urgency. "I need to go. They found Elena and lost her again."

Bonnie looked alarmed. "What?"
