Inanimate Insanity || Replacement AU

Part 1

In one world, Lightbulb is the only one to survive being killed by Mephone X, she ends up falling and shattering before she could be deleted, due to a strange glitch Lightbulb is recovered in a different world where only Lightbulb dies.

Right away everyone knows she's not the same one, especially due to the top left side of her head being cracked and her left eye being permanently closed, a permanent result of her glitching between worlds after being shattered.

After being overwhelmed and crowded by the other contestants she runs off, but Fan and Test Tube go after her, but soon after she runs into Paintbrush who is shocked by her appearance and Test Tube and Fan quickly catch up and explain everything.

Paintbrush seems somewhat sad and disappointed by this, but still shows care and concern for this Lightbulb regardless.

This Lightbulb is much quieter, more anxious, and sad obviously due to witnessing everyone in her world die, Fan, Test Tube, and Paintbrush try their best to befriend her regardless, they all knew she wasn't the one they knew, but they still cared about her either way.

Eventually some of the contestants start to call her Sad Lightbulb which only upsets her more and makes her feel very unwelcome. Test Tube, Fan, and Paintbrush reassure her that she is wanted and that no matter where she was from, they all still care about her, it seems to help, and Lightbulb starts to feel more comfortable and seems less closed off than before.

But one day she ends up overhearing a conversation Nickel is having with some of the other contestants, he mentions that she's just becoming a replacement for their Lightbulb, and this makes the current Lightbulb feel guilty, she starts to believe she just replaced their Lightbulb and that she didn't deserve to practically live another's life.

She decides to go for a walk while she thinks of everything, but because of this misses Trophy suggesting to just kill her and maybe the original would come back, the other contestants don't like this idea at all and quickly dismiss it, but this only makes Trophy accuse them of being soft.

Without mentioning what he plans to do, Trophy storms off, everyone thinks he's just going off to sulk having no idea of his real intentions. He spots Lightbulb and starts to follow her until she stops at the edge of the forest, he grabs a branch and as she turns around gets ready to strike her with the branch.

Just before he can Paintbrush intervenes and disarms Trophy, this only makes him focus his attack on Paintbrush instead, he tries to convince Paintbrush that if they killed this Lightbulb there was a chance the old one would come back.

This throws Paintbrush off, and Trophy uses this as an opportunity to attack them, but quickly Lightbulb panics and strikes Trophy across the face with the same branch he tried to attack her with. While he's stunned Lightbulb and Paintbrush both use this as a chance to escape and head back towards Hotel OJ.

Greetings, I hope you enjoyed the first part of my AU, it's a bit sloppy I know, but it's one I'm very excited to continue working on, so keep your eyes open for the next part!
