Sara sat in her dimly lit room, her phone clutched tightly in her hands. She just saw the video of Ruchika that Vaisoha sent.

"How could I be so stupid?" she murmured to herself.

Her heart ached as the truth settled in—the misunderstanding that tore her and Kartik apart had finally been cleared. It wasn’t betrayal as Kartik believed, just a series of unfortunate events and lies that poisoned their love.

She couldn’t let it end like this after everything and called him but he messaged back,

"Have you called me Sara?"

"Nahi mere phone ko bimaari hain tumhare number pe khud hi call laga leti hain"
she wanted to pursue a normal emotional conversation of reconciliation but couldn’t.

"👍"

"Introverts ke brand ammbassador phone utha lene main kya jata hain?"

"Bolo na Sara kya baat hain?"

"I need to talk to you immediately"

"Are you alright? Did anything happen?" his message came within seconds after it as his concern was a constant thing.

"Kartik I need to talk you about us?!"
she wasn’t in the correct state of mind while messaging him but she didn’t care.

"What us?:)"

"About us yaar...everything that happened. We need to talk and sort"

"No Sara there's nothing left to talk"

"Why are you doing this?"

"You did this first now you are coming like nothing happened. Please let me move on"

"What move on?"

"I have moved on Sara. Please don’t pull me back:)"

"With whom?:)"

"With myself🤙"

"🙂"

"🙂"

"When are you coming to Delhi next?"

"Won't tell you. You should stay away from me Sara"

"Tell me one reason to do that"

"Princesses need prince charmings with a peaceful kingdom"

"Fuck Prince Charming and Knights in shining armours...I need both which is you"

"You have gone mad Sara. We'll speak later"

"I'll kill you if you go offline"

He did that though.

Sara was left staring at her phone, the silence around her deafening. The next person she called was her father.

"Dad can you handle my meetings for two days? I am going to Mumbai for some reasons"

"Haan beta sure. But make sure to come in two days"

"Yeah"

Sara stepped off the flight in Mumbai, her heart pounding in her chest. The sprawling city before her was unfamiliar, overwhelming in its pace and intensity. But she had only one mission: to confront Kartik. He had shut her out over the phone, refused to hear her out, and no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t break through his walls from a distance.

She knew Kartik's schedule, the events he'd be attending, and his usual haunts. Her sources had told her he'd be at his studio today, reviewing the final edits for an upcoming project.
