The Wedding

Today is the day. The day where I'm going to be married to the most wonderful man ever. I'm going to be marrying Beau Peter Brooks. "Zoey! Zoey!" Izzy said. "Huh? Oh, I'm sorry, just daydreaming." I said smiling. "Well, we need you to get dressed for the wedding." She said. "Alright, I'm going." I said, walking over to my dress. It was a white lace mermaid dress, it had long sleeves, and fitted my curves amazingly, and there was no back. It was beautiful. When I saw what the wedding planner did for the wedding, I was blown away. Everything was so beautiful.

The theme was black and white and the aisle was facing the ocean. The whole set up was absolutely gorgeous and I still couldn't believe that today was the day. I just hope that mine and Beau's parents are coming to the wedding. I know it'll mean the world to Beau if his mom came and I would be unbelievably happy If my parents could attend.

Isabella was finished with my makeup and in a few minutes I was going to walk down the aisle. "You're ready, Zoey." Isabella said looking at me through the mirror. I looked myself over, I had a smokey eye, a little blush, and a very light pink on my lips. Then, my hair was dyed a pink
ombré from dark at the top, to light at the bottom. "Look at my beautiful baby girl." I heard my mother said.

I couldn't be happier that my parents were able to come and Beau and Luke were almost in tears when Jai brought their mom from the airport. Today was going to be good. "It's time to start walking down the aisle," my dad said. We got in line and waited our turn. When it was finally our turn to walk, my dad and I linked arms and started down the aisle.

As soon as we started down the aisle the song playing stopped and Beau was handed a microphone. I didn't stop walking, but I was very confused. "I love that accent you have when you say hello." Beau started singing. I was shocked for two reasons. A) He never once told me he could sing and B) I didn't know this was going to happen so I had some mixed emotions.

I continued walking with my dad until we got to the end of the aisle and he kissed my check and stood near Beau. As Beau finished the song, the priest walked up and started the ceremony. I was so nervous, excited, happy, and scared at the same time. I couldn't stop thinking about being able to finally call Beau my husband and not just my boyfriend. As I was thinking about my name being Zoey Brooks instead of Zoey Thompson, I heard my name being called and I was pulled from my thoughts by the priest and Beau calling my name.

I looked over to Beau and asked, "What?". I heard laughter and looked back to see everyone lightly laughing because of my confusion. "He asked you to read your vows now please.", Beau said, laughing lightly. "O, ok.", I replied. I started getting very nervous and shaky but proceeded to say my vows.

"Beau, since the first day I met you, I knew there was something special about you. You were kind, caring, funny, and smart. I instantly liked you. We've been through a lot these past few years with you being in the hospital and all the stress of graduation. I can't wait for the life we have ahead of us.", I said.

The priest then looked at Beau, signaling him to read he vows.

"Zoe, when I first met you, I thought you were different. Not in a bad way, but you weren't like the other girls at our school. You were nice, funny, and we had quite a lot in common. We've gone through tough times, but you never left me. When I finally got the nerve to ask you to marry me, I was nervous you would say no for some reason, but when you said yes, I couldn't have been happier. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.", he said.

The priest continued the ceremony until it was our turn to talk again. "Beau, do you take Zoey for your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?", he asked.

"I do.", Beau responded.

"Zoey, do you take Beau for your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?", he asked.

"I do.", I replied.

We exchanged rings and continued to finish the wedding. "Beau, you may kiss the bride.", the priest finished. Beau leaned in and we kissed. I was officially Zoe Brooks and I couldn't be happier. Now that the ceremony was finally over, we could start the reception and I was more than excited.

Beau and I walked back down the aisle, getting ready for the reception.
