Third person's P.O.V:
Jimin waved goodbye to Hobi and Taehyung, putting on a brave smile as he hurried toward the parking lot. He rubbed his swollen face, wincing slightly, and tried his best to pull his hair forward to cover the evidence. He didn't want Jungkook to notice; he didn't need him worrying.
As he approached Jungkook's car, his heart raced at the sight in front of him.Leaning casually against the hood, Jungkook wore a black leather jacket over a fitted, white t-shirt that showed off his toned muscles, paired with ripped jeans and heavy boots. His tattooed arm was covered by jacket. His eyebrow piercing glinted in the sunlight, and his lip piercing gave him a rebellious edge that made Jimin's cheeks flush. With a pair of dark sunglasses perched on his nose, he looked every bit the bad boy that made people stop and stare.
To everyone else, Jungkook was the college's infamous star athlete, captain of the basketball team, and someone who was not to be messed with. But to Jimin, he was something else entirely. Underneath the tattoos and tough exterior, Jungkook was the softest, most gentle person he knew. As he got closer, Jungkook removed his sunglasses, his piercing gaze landing on Jimin. He Pushed himself off the car, his expression softening as soon as he saw jimin .
"Hey, pretty boy," he greeted, his voice low and warm.
"Hey, Kookie," he said, the nickname slipping off his lips naturally. He managed a small smile, trying to keep his face turned slightly away, hoping Jungkook wouldn't notice the redness around his eyes.
Jungkook's brow furrowed. He noticed the slight change in Jimin's tone. Without a word, he stepped closer and gently tilted Jimin's face up with a finger under his chin, his eyes scanning Jimin's face with concern. "Were you crying?" he asked, his tone gentle but probing.
Jimin quickly shook his head, trying to look nonchalant. "No, I… I just got something in my eye," he mumbled, looking down at the ground. Jungkook didn't seem convinced.
"Did someone say something to you?" He asked, his voice was soft, but there was a dangerous edge to it, as if he was ready to confront anyone who'd dare hurt Jimin.
"No," Jimin replied quickly, glancing away. "I'm fine. It's nothing, really." Jungkook's eyes softened, but he didn't back down. "You're not lying to me, right?" he asked quietly, his thumb brushing lightly against Jimin’s cheek, almost as if he could smooth away whatever was troubling him.
Jimin bit his lip and nodded."Yes, I'm fine. I promise," he whispered, feeling a twinge of guilt for hiding the truth, but he didn't want to burden Jungkook with his worries. Jungkook studied him for a moment, and finally, he sighed, letting it go. Relief washed over Jimin, and he seized the opportunity to shift the mood. He looked up at Jungkook with big, innocent eyes, his lower lip jutting out slightly in a soft, adorable pout. "Kookie…" he murmured, his voice taking on a sweet, almost childlike tone. "Can we get ice cream?"
Jungkook gaze drifted to Jimin's soft, pouty lips, lingering there for a heartbeat too long, before a smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "You and your ice cream," he teased, unable to resist the way Jimin's cuteness melted his resolve.
Jimin clasped his hands in front of him, leaning in a little closer with his most irresistible expression. "Pretty please?" he added, blinking up at Jungkook with wide, hopeful eyes. Jungkook chuckled, reaching out to gently pinch Jimin's chubby cheek, feeling the soft warmth beneath his fingers.
"You're lucky you're cute," Jungkook said shaking his head, laughing as he wrapped an arm around Jimin's shoulders, pulling him close. "Alright, let's go get you some ice cream."
Jimin giggled, hugging Jungkook's waist as they walked to the car. With his big, buff best friend by his side, towering over him protectively, he felt a warmth settle in his chest. Jungkook was his safe place, and right now, he just wanted to enjoy a sweet treat with him.
——
The next day, Jimin sat in class with Taehyung and Hobi, chatting quietly as they waited for the lesson to start. Just then, sejin approached them, his face swollen and one eye sporting a fresh bruise. He looked down, avoiding eye contact as he spoke. "Umm....Jimin," sejin muttered, shifting on his feet. "I'm... I'm sorry for what I said yesterday. I.....I shouldn't have been so rude." Jimin's eyes softened immediately. Despite everything, he was always gentle at heart.
"It's okay, sejin. I forgive you," he said with a small smile, his forgiving nature shining through. But Taehyung and Hobi weren't so quick to let it go. Taehyung crossed his arms, a frown on his face. "You're lucky Jimin's this nice," he said. "Because if it were up to us, you wouldn't get off so easily." Hobi nodded, his tone equally stern.
"Just remember, sejin, not everyone's as forgiving as he is. So think twice next time." sejin winced, murmured a quick, "Thanks," and left hurriedly, clearly eager to escape before they said more. As he walked away, Jimin turned to his friends, his lips pursed in a cute little pout, but his glare was aimed right at them.
"You two promised you wouldn’t tell kookie," he whispered, his cheeks puffing up in frustration. Even when he was angry, his small stature and adorable expression made him look more cute than intimidating.
Hobi and Taehyung shared a glance, "Jimin-ah we didn't tell him anything" Taehyung started, "But you know Jungkook. He always finds out everything that happens to you. He won't let anyone get away with hurting you, Jimin." Jimin felt a blush creeping up his cheeks at the thought of Jungkook's protective nature.
Hobi and Taehyung exchanged knowing glances, unable to suppress their laughter. "Aww, look at you, blushing! You like it when Jungkook gets protective over you!" Hobi teased, leaning in closer, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
"It's so obvious!" Taehyung added, nudging Jimin's arm playfully. His heart raced, and he looked around the classroom with wide eyes, worried that someone might overhear. "I-I don't know what you're talking about," he stammered, tugging at his sleeves nervously.Taehyung laughed, pinching jimin's cheeks.
"Oh, please Minnie, You can't fool us. It's cute how you're always trying to hide it. We're the only ones who know, remember?" Jimin huffed, pouting as he tried to hold on to his irritation. But with Taehyung and Hobi grinning at him, he could feel his frustration melting away.
"You guys are the worst," he mumbled, cheeks still pink.
"But… now Kookie's gonna be mad at me for lying to him," he muttered, biting his lip as he looked at his fingers. His lips curled into an adorable pout, and his big eyes glistened with worry. "I hate it when he gets angry. I don’t like it…"
Hoseok scooted closer, placing a comforting hand on Jimin's back. "Jiminie, come on. You know Jungkook can't stay mad at you. He'll forgive you faster than you think."
Taehyung nodded, giving him a gentle nudge. "Seriously, that guy's a goner when it comes to you. There's no way he'd hold a grudge." Jimin sighed, his cheeks puffing out in a cute pout as he looked up at them with wide, anxious eyes.
"But… how am I supposed to face him now? He's going to look at me with those eyes," he whined, fiddling with the hem of his sweater. "I don't know what I'm going to say." Taehyung chuckled and wrapped an arm around Jimin’s shoulders.
"Just be your adorable self, and he won't even remember why he was upset. Trust me, Kookie's weak when it comes to you." Jimin managed a small smile, He leaned into his friend's embrace, feeling a little more reassured but still nervous. "I hope you're right," he mumbled softly as he let his friend's words comfort him.
