Spending these past few days with the ninja has not been too bad. They know how to have a laugh, and it is great to see them smiling. Cole was withdrawn from us all for a while since the battle with the snakes. I tried to talk to him a few times but could not get anything out.
Hymning to myself, I look up to see the clear blue sky with a few clouds drifting over to the south. Birds chirped and flew around in circles, while the ninja laughed, having an enjoyable time. The sadness in me took over, my head pounding as I felt my powers trying to take control of me. Feeling the earth around me, I felt a powerful tug as if my arm were being pulled towards the earth's strongest point. It felt calming at times but other times a sting.
When the sting disappeared, light flowed through my vein, and a flicker left my hand, leading a trail away from me. Standing up as quickly as I could, I kept a close eye on the trail. Following the trail till the end, it stopped on Noah. Why did the trail stop at Noah? What could be so important? The sudden stop in my tracks drew the attention of Noah and Jack, both eyeing me up and down. They both had been working on a map for Zane and Jay. According to Zane, he found a bird that led to Lloyd's secret hideout with the snakes.
I prepared to take a step back, but what stopped me was when Noah held out his hand to me. My body reacted to me before I could speak, and taking the step forwards, I took a hold of his hand. He is very gentle and does not tighten his grip at all. Sitting down next to him, I look at the map they have drawn out. Jack placed his finger on a certain point, telling me Zane said Lloyd and the snakes were hidden here. As I moved my hand towards the pen, I felt a grip on my other hand.
Looking down, I did not realize that me and Noah were still holding hands. My cheeks instantly turned red, and the warmth was strong. Noah faced to turn me puzzled as to why I could not talk, only when he looked down to his hand. Did he shake me off quickly and face away his cheeks, also turning red?
Jack giggled slightly before trying to divert both of our attention to the map. The sketch was perfect, and I do not say that word normally. Finishing the last few touches, Jack and Noah handed the map to the ninja, and they set off on their way. The others asked if we wanted to take a walk in the woods for some fresh air. I agreed to go. It would be nice instead of being stuck indoors all day.
I remember when I was always in my castle, I never left there. I would lie to people that I had eaten or gone out for the day so they would get off asking me what I had been doing all day. If I took breaks, then all the work would pile up. I could not bear to tell them the truth. The number of letters I declined from the other kingdom just to keep the peace. But I fear it made it worse; I was told I was to marry a prince only and no one else whereas my parents said it was my choice who I was to marry. That I would know what I want.
Taking a slow walk in the woods with the others made me feel whole. Friends I did not think I would have but again I told myself I would never get this far in life. I lied to myself saying I would have been dead by now. I only wish the ones back at the castle were able to see this, Tyler would of love the scenery and Jenny would have been flying around the whole area all the freedom and not a worry.
Jack and Noah had run off ahead hiding from one another while Vincent and Liam stopped by the trees. The only one I could not see was Ky.
