Somehow, from the car trip from Harold's cabin back to the academy, I make a recovery. As I step out of the car, the others look to me. "What are you doing?" Five asks.
I shrug, "it's a new thing I do."
The topic is dropped as Klaus and Luther carry Allison inside. "I don't think she's breathing," Luther cries. "She'll remain that way if you don't hurry the fuck up," I snap.
When we make it inside, mom and Pogo are quick to our aid, or well her aid. "She's suffered a severe laceration to her larynx," mom says, "one of you will need to give blood."
"I will," all the boys say at the same time. "I can't," I announce, "I tried when it happened, all it did was slow the bleeding."
Luther starts to take off his shirt, "I'm doing it."
"I'm afraid that's not possible, dear boy," Pogo speaks up, "your blood is more compatible with mine."
"Hey, don't sweat it big guy," Klaus speaks up, "I've got this. I love needles."
Oh.
"Master Klaus," Pogo sighs, "I'm afraid your blood is too polluted."
"Okay, we might want to get on with this before Allison actually dies," I cut in, "my blood only works for so long."
"Move," Diego demands, "I'll do it."
The minute mom pulls out the needle however, he passes out on the floor with a plonk. "Stick him?" I ask Pogo.
He nods, "stick him."

We all sit in the living room, unless you're Diego, then you pace. "That bastard that nearly killed Ivy and Allison is still out there, with Viktor."
Luther turns to me, "what exactly happened?"
"We got to the cabin; I told Allison it was a bad idea to go in but Allison being Allison went ahead anyways. A couple turns at yelling each other later and I looked up to her throat slit."
"Wait," Five cuts in, "you didn't see it happen."
I look him dead in eye, "it wasn't just Viktor whose powers were activated last night."
"We need to go after him," Luther says.
"Viktor is not important," Five continues.
"Hey, that's your brother. A little heartless even for you, Five."
"No, it's not," I say looking at the floor. "Right now, if I look at him, I can guarantee he'll be the one with the slit throat."
The rooms silent a moment, "I'm not saying I don't care about him," Five explains, "but if the apocalypse happens today, he dies along with the other however billion of us. Harold Jenkins is our first priority."
"I agree," Diego nods, "let's go."
"You guys count me out," Klaus sighs, "I mean no offense or whatever, I just feel like this is a whole lot of pressure for newly sober me, so."
I let out a snicker.
"You're coming," Diego says.
"No, no," he protests, "I mean, I think we can all agree my power is-"
"Klaus," I sigh, "how much use do you think a wolf is going to be?"
"I mean you can like-"
"Klaus get up," Five says.
