It had been two weeks since Hyejin submitted her photography project to Hybe, and today was the long-awaited announcement of the winners. Everyone in the photography program was invited to the Hybe building for the big reveal, including staff and the Enhypen members.
"After careful consideration by our styling teams, the photography department, the creative directors, and many others, we are pleased to announce that the winner of the photography contest is Min Hyejin," said Kim Taeho, CEO of Belift.
At first, Hyejin didn't react; she hadn't fully processed that her name had been called as the winner. But when she heard the cheering and received a side hug from Riki, it hit her—she had just won.
She made her way to the stage, still in shock. Once she arrived, she was handed a bouquet of flowers and a certificate. Soon after, the members of Enhypen joined her on stage to take a few pictures together.
Although the ceremony was brief, the entire photography department went out to celebrate afterward.
"Hyejin, you did it!" Jiwoo cheered as she approached the younger girl.
"I still can't believe it," Hyejin replied, shaking her head.
"I'm so proud of you! You put so much work into this, and it was clear you would win," Jiwoo said, praising Hyejin's effort.
"You worked hard too," Hyejin said, trying to uplift her friend's efforts as well.
"You definitely deserved it, though. Come on, let's go celebrate," she said, wrapping an arm around Hyejin's shoulder.
As the two of them walked to the restaurant, Hyejin's phone began to ring continuously.
