“Babe, I’ve got great news for you,” Gerald told Sarah on the phone.
It had been 2 months since Sarah left for Australia. They try to call or video chat each other as often as they can. They definitely missed each other but technology has somewhat helped in easing the loneliness they were feeling.
“Ano ‘yun Babe?” she excitedly asked.
“I’m going to start with my Fellowship next week!”
“Wow! That’s great! At least now you have something to keep you busy as well.
“I know. By the time you get back, eh tapos na ito and we can spend as much time as we can with each other. We can go on a second honeymoon and maybe work on the little one.”
“That sounds good. I’d like that.”
“So kamusta naman ang pag-aaral mo d’yan mahal kong reyna?”
“Aw! Ang sweet naman ng baby ko. Nakakamiss ka talaga! Well, okay naman. Hindi pa gaanong hectic ang schedule ngayon pero sabi nila it will be really busy around the fifth or sixth month. I’m coping well with the life here and the weather.”
“That’s good. Basta take care of yourself ha. Try to eat healthy at ‘wag panay junk food.”
“Yes Doc.”
“Have you made friends already?”
Pero ‘yung mga pinsan ko dito, they’ve already introduced me to their Pinoy friends. Sometimes I get to hang out with them.”
I love you so much!
I love you so much Babe at miss na miss na miss na miss na kita.
“Not gonna happen misis ko. Ikaw lang ang gusto kong kayakap.”
“That’s good to know.
We’ll probably be the ones hanging out with each other.”
“At least may kaibigan ka nang bago. I-enjoy mo rin ‘yan Babe.”
“I will. I love you misis ko!”
“I love you back mister ko.”
As days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months, their communication lessened. They have become busier with their respective activities that they were not able to catch each other for their usual calls or video chats.
