I have a feeling a lot of people have forgotten about this game, and I did to, until I saw a recommended video by Markiplier last year about this game, and the fact that TryHardNinja made a song about the game also made me want to buy the game
And I did not regret it.
This game was amazing! So let's talk about Prey (2017) made by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda.

Premise:
Prey (2017) is a Sci-Fi Horror Game created by Arkane Studios that takes place in 2035, on board a space station called Talos 1, set in a different future influenced by different actions taken by the USSR and USA during the Space Race, and the existence of aliens called Typhon, who... I'll save that for later.
During the Space Race, the USSR sends out Vorona 1, a satellite to secure a lead for the USSR but it is attacked by the first signs of the Typhon, this Typhon being a mimic, a spider like creature with four legs that can disguise itself as any organism that it wants. After this the USSR contacts John F. Kennedy, who was not assassinated, and tells them what they found and they agree to work together to capture the creature and find out what it is.
Years later in 2032 we wake up in our apartment as either the male or the female version of Morgan Yu, so... is a rather interesting predicament but I'll get into that later. Morgan has an appointment with TranStar to join the team and follow his older brother, and his family, his mother and his father are on the board of directors for the business. Morgan goes through four tests, and the people watching the tests (Scientists... they're scientists so thats a bit weird), and the Scientists have strange reactions that confused me on my first playthrough, and in the fourth test one of the Mimics broke containment... and the day is reset. Yup the day is rest, but instead we have emails telling us to 'LEAVE NOW!' and a dead body outside our apartment. When we go to the patio door to our apartment and break the glass... we find out the entire thing was fake. All of it, the tests were the only real thing and they were designed for a specific purpose that I will discuss later.
Morgan finds out that year is actually 2035, the Typhon have broken containment, his memories of the past three years have all been erased and we now have to survive, trying to get back to our brother, with one option that we are given.
To Destroy Talos 1, the station we are on.

Gameplay:
When I mentioned that this was a Sci-Fi Horror Game, I forgot to mention that you have guns, a wrench, a toy crossbow, and that you have access to six different skill trees, you have three in the beginning, and three later on, with the basic abilities of movement, and you have three status bars. Your health, armor, and psi, so let's go over them real quick.
Your health and armor are self explanatory. Health is your Health Points, you start at 100 and can go to 300 if you invest enough in the Skill Tree. Armor can not be upgraded and merely tanks most of the blows that you take from your opponents. PSI is based solely on the three skill trees you get later on... and those skill trees are based on the aliens you fight, yup, you can have the abilities of the Typhon.
You can turn into objects, levitated things around you, control your surroundings, mess with technology, teleport while leaving a shadow of yourself for your opponents to attack, control fire, control electricity, and... I should stop because we would be here for awhile.
