Third Person's P. O. V.
Dahlia couldn't move. It was as if her muscles had frozen. Her eyes were glued to the woman whom she had thought she would never see again, especially not here, at the concert they had planned to attend if they were given a chance.
The air left Dahlia's lungs as her eyes deliberately feasted on this woman's face.
Nicka still looked as sophisticated as ever. She noticed that the latter seemed to have aged a couple of years, even though they had parted ways only two years ago. There were bags under her piercing dark eyes.
Even so, Dahlia couldn't help but still be captivated by Nicka.
What surprised her even more was to see Nicka in red hair, again. It made Dahlia reminisce about their early years in college. That familiar sensation deep within her heart was at it again.
"Lia," Nicka said again.
The feeling of Dahlia's name rolling on her tongue left a tingling sensation in Nicka's organ. She didn't know what to do. Nicka could only stand there with bewildered eyes.
From the west corner, as the lights started to turn purple, the man could finally get a sight of Dahlia, who seemed to be in awe of something in front.
"Dahlia!" He called her name out, but she didn't hear.
A broad smile crept to his face as he shook his head in amusement.
Nakalimutan niya na ata kasama niya ako.
He paved his way towards her but stopped midstep when he realized that Dahlia wasn't staring at something but someone.
The two were deep in thought as they stared at each other. They only came to their senses when an arm possessively snaked around Dahlia's waist. Even Dahlia was startled when they heard him speak.
"Ang haba ng pila sa CR," Dustin leaned in to kiss Dahlia's temple.
The scene before her made Nicka's stomach tighten.
How stupid was she to not think about him? How ignorant was she not to be surprised to see Dahlia alone in this concert? Obviously, Dahlia wasn't like her, who would rather make one of their plans happen alone than do it with someone else?
"D-Dustin!" Dahlia stuttered, clearly shaken by what was happening.
"Hi, Nix. Nandito ka rin pala." He pretended to only notice Nicka when she looked in his direction.
"Yep," she replied shortly.
Her eyes drifted to Dahlia again, whom she caught staring at her but instantly looked in the other direction when their eyes met. Nicka's gaze fell on Dustin's hand on her Dahlia's waist.
Her hand was the one that was supposed to be resting there, was not his. She looked at her again, but Dahlia remained avoiding eye contact.
Nicka cleared her throat.
"I'll be heading first." She dismissed herself without waiting for them to reply.
"Really, Lia? Really?" Nicka spat before hassling shoving people away from her path.
She left the coliseum with her tear-stained face. Luckily, the street wasn't as jam-packed as before the concert—it wasn't finished yet. Nicka drove fast, her speedometer almost reaching eighty.
When she finally gets to stop her car, she arrives at a secluded high area. Nicka knew she was no longer in Manila. The air breeze was cold, but it wasn't enough to numb her pain away.
She rolled down her window to let the wind envelop her in a cold embrace.
"Tangina..." she could only mumble as the scene two hours ago dug a hole in her wrecked heart.
