📝 NOTE FROM MEOWINGHAM – Sorry for the slow burn, I hope it does not bore you out. As much as we enjoyed the sweet scenes of them together, I also wanted to bring forth and highlight the arduous journey of winning a Mom Luang Sippakorn, Khun Neung back. I'm sure we all have been through such a journey of winning someone back in our lives. It'll get better from here on, I promise. (Bows Apologetically)
Neung
It had been days since I last spoke to Aneung, and with each passing hour, the absence of her presence gnawed at my heart. Something deep within me ached—a yearning that felt almost like an ache of the soul.
Fine, I admit it. I miss her. A lot.
The way she used to wait for me every day after work, her unwavering determination to be there for me, had shifted something deep within my heart. It was as if she had taken a piece of my spirit with her when we parted, and now, that piece was desperately calling out to her.
"What is she doing right now? Does she have plans tonight?" I wondered aloud, staring blankly at my computer screen. My mouse hovered over our chat, and in a moment of courage, I began typing, hoping to spark a conversation.
Tsundere my ass! I'm making the effort now to get closer to you.
What are you doing?
No, too direct. She might think I'm obsessively thinking about her. Backspace...
Are you free tonight?
God, no. She may interpret that as me asking her out. Backspace...
It's been days. Are you okay?
Hmm... that sounded too much like I've been waiting for her to message me. Backspace!
Backspace, backspace, backspace!
"Ugh." I groaned aloud, rolling my eyes in frustration. It shouldn't be this difficult to send a simple message, right? Why was I caught in this ridiculous dilemma?
"You are so silly," Lux's voice cut through my thoughts, and I jumped, startled to see her standing behind me.
"Since when are you even here?" I spun around to face her. "Please make some noise next time. You scared me."
She squinted at my screen, a knowing smile dancing on her lips. "Ever since you kept deleting your texts, thinking about what to send to Aneung. It's hilarious to catch you like this. Who would have thought, huh?"
My face burned with embarrassment as I quickly minimise the chat application. "Nonsense! I wasn't doing that."
"Yeah, right. I totally believe you!" she laughed, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Just be sincere and real. If you miss her, just say it." With that, she walked away, leaving me to stew in my own self-doubt.
"I'm not!" I shouted after her, but I knew deep down that she was right. She could read me like an open book.
I turned my attention back to the screen, and just as my heart began to settle, a notification pinged. My fingers moved faster than my mind could comprehend, and before I knew it, I had opened our chat.
Aneung: Ar-neung~! Why are you typing and not sending anything?
Not you too, Aneung!
Neung: You're thinking too much. I didn't type anything.
Aneung: Don't lie! I saw you typing and deleting for almost five minutes, heh.
Neung: I... was just typing some notes for work. Your chat was the first one that popped up, so I clicked it and started typing. Why are you eyeing the chat?
