"I'll protect you because you're mine" my breathing stopped. Something I had never felt before. Something I craved my whole life for. Love.
Luca said what?! I was just thinking all along the way home. We spoke nothing after that. We got his mansion and he- he just left? He left to his room without even looking at me. I was so tired to think too much that I got to my room and fell asleep without even changing.

*In the morning*

Luca's POV
I slept fast yesterday. It usually takes me some time to fall asleep because of my hectic thinking. But yesterday I was so relaxed. It felt nice. But deep down I'm scared. I can't love her I know but my heart just won't listen to me. I couldn't face her yesterday after the kiss. I broke the promise I made to myself. But I can't break the promise I made to her. I'll protect her and for that it's better if I don't let Ella have feelings for me. She just doesn't know the world she has gotten into.

I've just so many enemies who would want to hurt anyone I love and I love Ella more than myself. My life has no guarantee and I can't let her go through pain if I die. For all this, she shouldn't love me. I should keep a distance between us. But I don't know if I'll be able to cause that woman has got me.

Ella's POV
I woke up with a big smile on my face. I felt happy. I got up, changed and went down for breakfast .
"Hey!" Marco called over the table. "Hey! Markk!!" I happily went over to him. He offered me a doughnut. I was so hungry that I grabbed it stuffed it into my mouth. I look over to the stairs to see if Luca was gonna come for breakfast or not.
"He left early in the morning" Marco said looking over to the newspaper lying on the table. "Oh" I replied, my smile dropped. I thought I would have breakfast with him.
"Ella?" Marco looked at me. "Mm?" "Do you love Luca" What kind of a question was that. I didn't know what answer Marco was expecting but I just didn't have an answer for him so I kept quiet. He waiting for my response before adding "Luca has never been loved" I look at Marco. "What do you mean never been loved? He's got a family and great friends too"
Marco started to laugh . I raise my eyebrows. What's he trying to say?!
