Blonde hair was hastily covered by his prestigious maroon snapback, putting it on backwards to give him the "official Luke touch." He had decided to throw on his regular ripped back skinny jeans and a muscle tank just to show off to a little somebody. Luke had turned on the stereo trying to lessen the tension between them as the sound of old rock music filled the car.
His sapphire eyes glanced between the road and the girl sitting next to him as he drove through the roads that he knew like the back of his hand. Luke could notice her anxiously looking out the window and knew that she was nervous.
"What's up buttercup?" Luke's raspy voice caught her attention as she whipped her head to look at him.
"Nothing. And don't call me that, it's really cheesy." Y/N chastised, running her fingers through her hair. Luke grabbed her hand across the console and soothingly ran his thumb across her palm.
"I find it cute." His pink lips formed into a pout. You know that we've never gone out on a date," the blond stated matter of factly biting down on his lip ring. "Damn it, I messed up the mood, didn't I?"
"No, it's totally fine. I mean we can make this a date- only if you want." Y/N smiled, her heart beginning the flutter at the thought of Luke taking her out on a date.
"I was imagining our first date to be more romantic... something more than a house full of drunk teens grinding on each other." He chuckled, still skimming his fingers over her palm. The roads were isolated except for a few other cars; it was just one more thing that was included in a fairly small town.
"You know that the rest of your pack won't even notice if we're not there, right?"
"We won't stay there for long." Luke sighed, stepping on the gas peddle a little harder. "I just gotta say hey to few people."
After a few minutes, Luke pulled up to a street which was full of cars back to back; which seemed to have started hours ago. The faint sound of overplayed electronic music could be heard from the house party.
"Is the whole school here? Oh my god..." Y/N bulged her eyes out at the sight.
"Just about. It's been the hype at school for the past few days." Luke parked the car and opened his door. The cool air made made Y/N shiver as she stepped onto the concrete. The tall blond immediately reached out to intertwine their fingers as they quietly made their way to the house., the small action making her heart swell with affection. Her brown eyes flashed glance at Luke's flawless face, awing at how his blonde locks turned into curls at the nape of his neck.
"Don't leave alone, okay? I barely know anyone here. And you know how bad I am at talking to other people and then when they start to ask questions about-,"
"Hey, don't worry about it. You're going to spend the whole night with me." The tall blond raised his eyebrows and chuckled. "If you know what I mean."
Luke didn't bother to ring the door bell as he swiftly entered the packed house, Y/N trailing behind. She didn't recognize a single soul there, and the strong smell of alcohol made her cringe. The tall blonde towered over most of the party-goers and made his way through the sweaty bodies, holding Y/N's hand like she was a small child afraid of getting lost- which she was. Luke's large frame urged the teenagers in his way to move away and make room for them.
All of the eyes in the room seemed to snap toward Y/N, taking in every detail from what she was wearing to the way she was walking. She had decided to sit down at the bar in the kitchen while Luke had gone to hang out with whoever's house this was. Y/N quietly poured herself a glass of water from the fridge as she watched the majority of people "dance" to the heavy electronic music.
