Chapter 5:- The History hidden from us

Rimuru's POV

As we crossed the portal, we arrived straight into my room. It was intricately designed, but lacked a loot of furniture. Simply put, though the room itself was large and the walls were intricately carved, the room itself lacked furniture that could bring out its true potential.

"Now then. Why don't you tell us more about yourself?" I asked as I say down on the bed with Ciel taking her seat besides me. Shinsha on the other hand sat on Ciel's lap. Though she had grown up and looked like an eighteen year old, she still acted spoilt. Well, me or Ciel don't mind, so we don't really have a problem with it.

"Understood, milord. But before that, I would like to know how much you know about the Chaos Forces." Lilith asked me, all the while her gaze was on the floor.

"Hmm...? The Chaos Forces? Well, I do know a little about it. A lawless place where might reigns supreme-" I was about to continue, but was stopped by Lilith.

"I understand now. It seems like the Order really did hide the truth."

"The truth?"

"Yes. Please listen to me, milord. I know it might sound made up, but it's all the truth."
"Alright. Continue."

"You see, the Chaos and Order are not so different. They say that might reigns supreme in three lands of Chaos, but is that not the case within the lands of Order as well? In reality, both Order and Chaos were, at one point of time, the same.

Long before the war between Order and Chaos, another major war had taken place. The first era and second era Gods fought against the Outer Gods, who we now refer to as the Ancient Gods."

"Wait wait wait! There are Gods older than the First Era Gods?" I ask surprised.

"That's right. You see, the world is never-ending and ever-changing. The fabrics of space continuously move and twist around. And whenever the fabric of space folded over itself, it would bring massive destruction as countless worlds would be crushed and destroyed.

Such a event happened before the Third Era Gods were born. All the Gods that belonged to the time before the Fabric of Space folded were called Outer Gods. The reason was simple, they were found on the outer region of the Fabric of Space, that folded upon itself.

Those Gods were much more stronger and their world was much more technologically advanced than us. Even their most technologically backward worlds had technology far surpassing us. The First Era Gods were born in an enclosed area. The Fabric of Space had created a temporary barricading protecting them.

But, once the Fabric of Space outside the barricading began to overlap on itself, the natural barricade began to fall, and the Outer Gods began to invade, in hopes of surviving. Some of the First Era Gods took to the front lines and prevented them from entering. And you, milord, were one of the eight major Gods who fought against them. After a bloody war, only of the eight fell in the battle.

But the remaining seven, including you did not come out unscathed. Your bodies and souls were tainted with their miasma. The Miasma is the equivalent of magicules that the Ancient Gods used to use. It was much more potent, stronger and easier to use than magicules. The only downside being that it taints your aura and makes you biased towards the Miasma, rather than magicules.

Which makes sense, since it is always easier to get accustomed to something better in life than losing something that you took for granted. But, other than that, there was no major change. After we managed to survive the onslaught, though those Gods who were affected by Miasma were seen as heroes who sacrificed themselves, it all changed when one of the lower Gods affected by the Miasma went wild.

He managed to kill a few other Gods before he was subdued. This led to a rift being formed and the heroes of war soon became traitors. You and the other seven were forced out of your territory and were forced to take roots in these worlds that once belonged to the Ancient Gods, but managed to survive the folding if Fabric of Space.

After settling down here, you looked through the few things that did manage to survive. From infrastructure to knowledge to experimental results. They were all mind blowing. And, as a result, you, or rather all of the Seven of you managed to redevelop the world quickly. Not only that, but you also created many other things that were world shattering to say the least." Lilith finally finished her long sermon and I could do nothing but stare at her. I could see Ciel massaging her head she Shinsha looking at us in awe.

I really don't get it anymore. This is the third time. Third, bloody, time that someone is telling me that the history of the world is different from what I know. Why does this feel like a long and elaborate plot. Just whom should I trust?

"What makes you think that we will believe you? What you said could ask just be something that you came up with it." Ciel said, asking what I wanted to ask.

"Hmm... I knew you would ask this. So here is the proof. Despite being Gods of Order, your soul actively resists divinity. Despite the fact that you have never felt Chaos Miasma before, you could feel it attract you, rather than disgust you. And if you still don't believe, Lady Ciel, you can just use your powers to change the laws within this room. Make it so that I cannot lie." Lilith said, ask the while not raising her sights.

"Changing the laws?" Ciel asked confused. Only after hearing this did Lilith raise her head for the first time. The look on her face was of pure disbelief and despair.

"Could it be that milady does not know the extent of her powers?" Lilith asked, all the while, she was desperately trying to hide her nervousness.

"The extent of my powers? I am not that special when it comes to powers. Apart from being calculative and predictive of my opponent, I am not that good at fighting." Despite Ciel saying that, I couldn't help but laugh. Right now, Ciel was strong enough to go up against Guy, one on one, and still come out unscathed.

"Milady, that is nothing more than the tip of the iceberg. Your powers, your true powers were strong enough that even the First Era Gods and the Ancient Gods were afraid of it. The power you had was the power over laws."
