Just as Aarohi and Arshia were engaged in animated conversation and laughter, Suhina appeared on the scene. Her expression betrayed her annoyance as she approached the pair.

In a conspiratorial manner, Arshia leaned in close to Aarohi, her lips almost touching her friend's ear as she whispered something quietly."Isse pata chal gaya kya jo humne iske saath kaand kiya hai?"

Aarohi murmer and pinched her hand"chup reh "

Suhina turned her gaze towards the pair, her eyes filled with a burning glare. "A day after Tomorrow is my birthday," she announced, her voice laced with a mix of irritation and expectancy. "You are both invited, I will send you location and all the details Arshia you share it with Aarohi"

With that said, Suhina turned on her heel and walked away, returning to her own seat with an air of finality.

"Aain" Aarohi

" Baigan" Arshia.

" isko kya hui gava ..sathiya going hai kya " she asked Arshia, her expression now tinged with suspicion.

" Abey nahi baat ye hai ki iski mummy aur meri mummy dost hai . Aur use pata hai mai tere bina nahi jaungi"

As Arshia explained the situation, Aarohi listened intently, a look of understanding slowly crossing her face. She nodded thoughtfully, absorbing the details.

After sometime.....

" Mai nahi jaungi" Aarohi declared.

" kyu nahi jayegi" Arshia asked.

" Jiju ko pasand nhi aayega . Vo kahega ki mai uske friend circle mein ghus rahi hu . And uski so called privacy invade ho jaegi"

Arshia :- Mai to apne bhai ke saath uske friends ki saari birthday parties mein jaati hu.

Aarohi's heart ached as she absorbed the weight of Arshia's words. For her entire life, she had never considered the stark contrast between her brother's friends-filled birthday parties and her own quiet celebrations with her parents. Each year, as her brother excitedly prepared for his gatherings, Aarohi quietly stayed home with her family, blissfully unaware of how their modest traditions stood out. But now, this realization pierced her like a dagger.

She had attempted to join him on these occasions, but her brother consistently rejected her requests, leaving Aarohi with no choice but to stay behind.

Aarohi was abruptly brought back from her troubled thoughts by Arshia's voice, like a gentle wake-up call from a deep, troubled slumber. " kaha kho gayi "

"Kahi nahi"

The entire day was spent with Arshia relentlessly trying to persuade Aarohi to attend the upcoming party, though Aarohi continued to resist her friend's pleas.

..........

Aaorhi and Tarun was walking back home....

As Aarohi glanced towards her neighbors, her eyes caught a young girl who had fallen and was now crying on the ground. However, the sight of her brother rushing to her aid and carefully helping her stand up, along with his gentle and caring manner, captured her attention instead. Aarohi watched the scene unfold, a mix of curiosity and envy stirring within her.

She found herself entranced by her neighbor's brother's nurturing behavior towards his sister. Aarohi observed the way he quickly ran to her aid, lifting her up with a gentle touch, and his attentive care as he made sure she was alright. The stark contrast with her own brother's dismissive behavior tugged at her heartstrings, awakening feelings of longing and jealousy within her.

As Aarohi's gaze shifted to her brother walking ahead, a pang of sorrow echoed through her heart. His detached nonchalance was a stark reminder of the emotional gulf that separated them, deepening the emptiness within her soul.

Unnoticed by her brother, Aarohi stumbled and fell to the ground, tripped over an unexpected rock. However, her brother didn't even turn back, his focus fixed ahead as he continued his path, oblivious to her fall.

As the realization hit her, Aarohi felt a profound sense of brokenness. This wasn't the first time she had felt neglected by her brother, but this time, the weight of it all suddenly sank in, illuminating a painful truth she had unconsciously avoided.

It was as if her own unimportance had been laid bare before her, leaving her feeling shattered and alone.

The memories of past instances when her brother had overlooked her and prioritized other things flooded her mind. Aarohi could almost hear the echoes of her own unimportance, the quiet whispers that begged to be recognized.

It felt as if she had been living in a fog, allowing herself to be pushed aside and ignored, without fully acknowledging the emotional toll it took on her.

Aarohi considered her brother her only companion before Arshia came into her life. She harbored the belief that she was simply worthless to him, while he was gregarious and social with friends galore. Aarohi perceived herself as a stark contrast to her brother, as a loner with few companions to her name.

At night.....

Per usual, Tarun was engrossed in his studies, his nose buried in a book. He was no stranger to late-night study sessions, diligently investing time and effort into his academic pursuits.

The puzzling aspect of the situation was that Aarohi, his sister, had not come to pester him tonight. Her absence was uncharacteristically noticeable.

'Abhi tak aayi nahi ... har raat to naak mein dum deti hai aaj kaha hai.' He thought.

After concluding his dedicated study session, Tarun glanced at his watch and realized it was past midnight, the hands of the timepiece indicating the late hour of 1 a.m.

However, Aarohi's continued absence sparked a growing concern within Tarun. He couldn't help but worry about her whereabouts and well-being, especially since she hadn't come to bother him like usual.

With a mix of concern and trepidation, Tarun carefully pushed open the door of his sister's room and stepped inside, moving with a slow and deliberate pace.

As he entered the room, Tarun approached his sister and gently placed his hand on her forehead, checking her temperature to ensure she wasn't under the weather.

'Bukhar to nahi hai' he thought.

As he delicately brushed her hair aside, Tarun's heart wrenched at the sight of her tear-streaked face. The sight of her tears stirred a deep empathetic response within him, eliciting a wave of concern and sadness.

Deciding to address the matter in the morning, Tarun retreated back to his own room, his thoughts swirling with questions and concerns for his troubled sister.
