Chapter 1- Salem Harkness??

Salem's Pov
I was ready to go. I was in my favourite out as it covered most scars, I wear my pentagram made of flowers necklace that Rio got for my 16th birthday. I pat Midnight's head. "You stay her boy!" Midnight shakes his adorable head. "It could be dangerous my adorable prince of the darkness" Midnight rubs his head against my hand meowing. "Meowww" He was always a loyal familiar. We set off for WestView I was wear an adorable cat backpack for Midnight to sit in as I fly. He obeyed sitting in the bag as I fly my way to WestView. I haven't been confident enough to leave the house let alone use my magic as it always gives me bad luck. I landed in WestView in the middle of the road. It was oddly quiet I see a house with more lights on then the others. I set the bag down containing Midnight let him out, rubbed his ears checking in him. I creeped to the window peering in, Mum!? What is she doing wearing a detective outfit? Who is she with!? I glance in more receiving death stare from my mum. Shit she saw me I'm in big trouble. There was a crash from inside the house I was curious. I see someone fall down, she looked hurt. But she got up shouting "Stop Police" who was she chasing after all? I feel someone grab me. "What are you doing!?" I smile at mum with Midnight at my feet. "Hi mum" She looked impressed but disappointed at the same time. "It's good to see you out of the house but you followed me!" She shouted so I nod. "I thought your friend might know something about my birth mum because you won't tell me anything and I'm not good on my own since the incident I caused." Rio sighs rubbing my arms. "Sweetheart you don't need to know who your mother is she doesn't define who you are" I pull away from her. "You don't understand the things I have been through! I was almost burnt alive if my powers didn't awaken because I carry my mother's evil" I shouted tearing up. "Shhh sweetheart that's people fearing your potential they are just using your last name against you." I look away. "I set a whole town on fire defending myself I felt so guilty for the amount of innocent people I killed." Rio scoffed "Innocent? Witchlet they tried killing you did what any witch would do. Defend themselves you survived that's all that matters" Rio looked in pain when she said those words. "That's what your mother would say I agree with her viewing. Though I wish I was there to protect you because you deserve to feel the guilt and I don't want you to get used to killing and not feeling anything." I hug Rio. "I got you Witchlet I'm just protecting you from your mother is isn't the kindest witch" I nod as Rio pull me closer. "I know you are trying to protect me but it feels like I don't know who I am. It's like a part is missing so please I just want to know." Rio sighs and rubs her head. "You are going to keep looking aren't you?" I nod proudly. "I won't give up and you know it" Rio grabs my hands and holds them. "You are Salem Harkness Daughter of Agatha harkness and Rio Vidal" I look confused at Rio. "Agatha? Isn't she something to do with the Salem witch trials wasn't it in 1693? Rio rubbing my hands reassuring me as she nod.
