Tennis ball is in love with golfball and she feels the same but she struggles to express emotions, so they treat their relationship like a science experiment.

It was the day after golfball returned, tennis ball had stayed the night. Golfball woke up around ten (rare as she normally woke up earlier than 99 percent of the other contestants). She found tennis ball in the kitchen preparing breakfast, "hello TB, why did you let me sleep in?" golfball asked still groggy as she began eating, "I felt like you needed a little extra sleep." tennis ball admitted, "I was only gone a few hours" golfball stated.
Tennis ball let out a sigh, he knew he had to tell her before someone else did "Golfball.......you weren't gone a few hours, you were gone for an entire week", hearing this caused golfball to stop for a moment and she began coughing up her breakfast. She could barely comprehend what was just said, ".............how is that possible" golfball asked dumbfounded. "I'm not sure, it's possible that wherever you were had different time dilation." tennis ball explained.
Golfball could only stare blankly, how could this happen, how did she let this happen? "Golfball, are you okay?" tennis ball asked. "I need to think" golfball said as she exited the factory. Golfball left the factory and looked around "🎵 hey GB! You've been gone all week what happened! 🎵" puffball asked "I....I....." golfball started before walking away, she kept staring blankly before bumping into TV. "Hello TV, I know..........I was gone a week" she stated not wanting to answer where she was "oh......I just assumed you were in your factory with tennis ball." TV stated trying not to seem rude.
Immediately it was like a punch to the gut, while she wasn't close to TV it still hurt knowing that she vanished for a week and he didn't notice, "yes...........I was working on something with TB in my factory.........all week, out of curiosity did anyone notice I was gone?" golfball asked. "I'm not sure, I mostly spent the week with robot flower, she didn't say anything...why do you care?" TV asked.
Golfball began walking again, she was crushed by that conversation. Tennis ball exited the factory looking for golfball, "🎵Hi TB! Do you know what's wrong with golfball? She's acting weird.🎵" stated puffball. Tennis ball didn't know how to explain everything to her "it's just been a rough week" he said as he went looking for her.
He found golfball standing alone staring into space. "Hey golfball, are you alright?" tennis ball asked. "I was missing for a week, and no one noticed" golfball said staring blankly. "People noticed, puffball was asking about you, and even basketball helped me fix the ray" tennis ball stated "would she have helped if you hadn't asked her?" golfball questioned. "Probably" tennis ball said holding her closer.
The two walked down to the factory where golfball sat down. "It's ok if you're still not ok" tennis ball stated "I just need a couple of days" she replied "what did you do while I was gone?" she asked "I........" tennis ball began as he sat with her discussing the last week.
Mild epilogue
Basketball heard a knock at her above ground factory door and went to answer it, by the time she opened the door the elevator door had shut and the hallway was cleared. She looked around and noticed a small gift on the floor with a note reading: thank you for remembering.
