The room still hummed with the remnants of their playful, passionate exchange as Charlie and Vaggie lay beside each other, their bodies pressed close, tangled in the sheets. The air was thick with the scent of sweat and love, their breathing finally slowing after what felt like hours of indulgence in each other's touch.
Charlie, propped up on one elbow, glanced over at Vaggie and smiled. "I don't know about you, but I could definitely use a bath right about now," she said with a soft laugh, brushing her fingers through Vaggie's hair.
Vaggie, eyes still half-lidded with the afterglow, nodded lazily. "Yeah, I think we've earned it," she agreed, a grin creeping across her face as she gently poked Charlie's side.
The two of them untangled themselves from the sheets and made their way to the en suite bathroom. The large bathtub, adorned with lavish marble fixtures, was perfect for a long, hot soak. Charlie turned on the water, letting it fill the tub while Vaggie lit a few candles along the edge, adding a warm, relaxing glow to the room.
Once the tub was full and the water was steaming, they both slipped in, sighing in unison as the heat enveloped their tired muscles. Charlie sat back, resting her head against the edge of the tub while Vaggie slid in next to her, the water lapping gently against their skin.
For a while, they sat in silence, simply enjoying the warmth and the comforting presence of each other. The earlier playfulness had faded, replaced by a quieter, more intimate sense of connection.
After a few minutes, Charlie broke the silence, her voice soft and thoughtful. "You know... we've been engaged for, what, three years now?" she said, glancing sideways at Vaggie.
Vaggie tilted her head, her wet hair clinging to her shoulders as she looked over at Charlie. "Yeah, three years," she confirmed with a nod. "Why? What's on your mind, princesa?"
Charlie bit her lip for a moment, hesitating before she spoke again. "I was just thinking... maybe it's time we started talking about, you know... the wedding."
Vaggie raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "Are you saying what I think you're saying?"
Charlie nodded, her expression growing more serious. "I mean, we've been through so much together. You're my best friend, my partner, my everything. And I know we've been engaged for a while now, but... I don't want to wait forever. I want us to be married, Vaggie. I want us to have that... that next step, that commitment to each other."
Vaggie's face softened, her eyes brimming with affection as she reached out and took Charlie's hand beneath the water. "Charlie... I've been thinking about that too. You know I love you, and I'm ready whenever you are. But are you sure this is what you want? I know things have been... complicated, with everything going on with your father and the hotel. I don't want to rush you."
Charlie shook her head, squeezing Vaggie's hand. "It's not about rushing. It's about knowing what I want, and what I want is you. No matter what's happening around us, I know that being with you is the one thing that makes everything feel right."
Vaggie smiled, a warm, genuine smile that lit up her entire face. "Then let's do it. Let's start planning. Let's make it happen, Charlie."
The weight of those words settled in the air, and for a moment, both girls just stared at each other, letting the realization of what they were agreeing to sink in. After three years of being engaged, they were finally talking about the real possibility of marriage—of standing before their friends, family, and Hell itself to declare their love.
"What kind of wedding do you want?" Vaggie asked, her voice filled with excitement as she shifted in the water to face Charlie more fully.
Charlie's eyes sparkled with thought. "I don't know... something small, maybe? Something intimate, just us and the people we care about. I don't need a big, fancy ceremony. I just want it to feel... real."
Vaggie nodded, clearly on board with the idea. "I like that. Maybe somewhere special to us? Like... the garden outside the hotel? It's where we had our first real date, remember?"
Charlie's face lit up at the suggestion. "Yes! That's perfect! It would be beautiful... just us, surrounded by flowers. And maybe we can get someone to play music. Something soft and romantic."
The more they talked, the more excited they both became, ideas flowing back and forth between them like the warm water they were soaking in. The tension of the day melted away as they focused on something far more important—each other and their future together.
After a while, Vaggie leaned in closer, resting her head on Charlie's shoulder. "I can't believe we're really doing this," she whispered, her voice filled with a mix of disbelief and joy. "We're getting married."
Charlie smiled, wrapping her arms around Vaggie and pulling her close. "We are. And I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
As they held each other in the bath, the world outside their little bubble seemed to fade away. In that moment, nothing else mattered but their love and the future they were about to build together—one filled with laughter, passion, and the unbreakable bond they shared.
And for the first time in a long time, both Charlie and Vaggie felt a sense of peace settle over them. Whatever challenges lay ahead, they knew they could face them together—because they had each other, and that was all they needed.
