She watches as soot falls from the sky. It falls on her arm, and all around her. She looks up, around her and everything is broken. A fire is raging around her as she looks what is left of her family's house or so she thinks.
Where the hell is she?
The entire sky is a hue of orange and black, she can only imagine it from the smoke of the fire. She can the sky turning dark as the night begins to set in.
Brushing off the soot from her arm, she looks at what she's wearing. She can't remember putting on her favourite shirt this morning. Her Jurassic park shirt had been thrown in the washing machine the night before. She's wearing her stingray socks and some pale blue jeans.
She's looks around her, noticing an umbrella on a metal gate in front of a front door arch that's still standing. She's at the Umbrella Academy? She thinks as she pulls her legs up to her chest before pushing herself up onto her feet. How did she get here?
With a shake of her head, she sets out to find her own house. Walking past the fallen falls, ceiling and furniture. She notices two guys laying ij the rumble. They look dead to her, one is jacked up and has a hand raised up high as if he was holding something up that wasn't allowed to fall victim to this destruction.
Another of the two man is a guy with eyeliner and lays with his face down and his eyes are hauntingly open wide but she can tell he's dead. There is no doubt that she's the last person alive, there wouldn't be any other way. With this kind of destruction, it's a miracle that she is.
She turns, leaving the house behind to make the trek back to hers. The City is destroyed to a point that it is almost unrecognisable. What could have caused this?
She doesn't want to think about it. Not when she needs to find her parents first and then find out what caused this. What had caused the end of the world, and she needs to figure out how she had survived it in the first place.
By the looks of it. It had come sudden and devastating. Destroying everything that had been in its path and she can't imagine having to witness it at first hand and fall victim to it all the same. It had taken anything, not discriminating who, no matter if it had been male or female, young or old, it had taken all but her.
She keeps scanning with her eyes around the city, only to find a torn piece of newspaper stuck under some rumble. She tries to find some date on it but it only says '2 ap' the rest looks to be torn off.
With blisters and bruises forming under her feet, she makes it to her house, or what had been left of it. Which was very little, nothing but rumble and ash, fires crackling as the night had fallen. Which had turned into her only source of light.
