Theo: (clearing his throat) "Thank you all for coming on such short notice. I have some significant news to share regarding our division that I think will excite you."

The team exchanged glances, their interest piqued.

Theo: "As you may have heard, we are merging with BR Tech, a leading company in our field based out of Paris. This merger is set to be finalized soon, and we will be welcoming an operations team from BR Tech here in London."

A low murmur spread through the room, and Theo raised a hand to quiet them.

Theo: "I know this is a big change, and it will take some time for us to adjust to the new workload and dynamics. However, I want you to see this as a significant opportunity. This merger will not only expand our capabilities but also position us as leaders in the industry. The future looks bright, and I'm confident we'll thrive together."

Someone in the back raised their hand, a playful grin on their face.

Employee: "So, should we start learning French, then?"

Laughter erupted in the room, and Theo chuckled, appreciating the levity.

Employee: "And what about the soon-to-be Mrs. Palmer? Are we going to have her as our new boss too?"

The room erupted into laughter again, and Theo couldn't help but join in, his cheeks flushing slightly.

Theo: "Yes, well, just remember that Sam leads BR Tech, so you might want to be on your best behavior!"

The playful jabs continued, and Theo embraced the lighthearted banter. It was a good sign; his team was adapting well to the news. As the laughter subsided, he continued.
