Jungkook downs another beer in a swiot motion.

Mingyu smirks at him from over the rim of his beer can. "How're you doing, buddy?"

"You wanna talk about it?" Yugyeom adds.

"No," Jungkook says. He tosses his can towards the waste bin in he and Eunwoo 's living room. He misses by a laughable margin, which earns a chuckle from his friends. "You guys asked me to hang out. I'm not going to talk about work."

"Okay," Eunwoo says. "How's your food blog, Mingyu - "

"It's just that," Jungkook starts, because he's a little more than buzzed, and a lot more confused, "why are people so annoying?"

"Is it That Guy From Work again?" asks Yugyeom.

Jungkook nods vehemently. He has taken to calling Taehyung that to his friends, as he isn't allowed to let anyone know that he was Taehyung 's personal manager. They think Jungkook works in the Records Department and That Guy From Work is his annoying supervisor.

Jungkook realizes that maybe he talks about Taehyung too much with his friends, but Taehyung 's recent behavior baffles him to no end and he needs space to vent. Jungkook thought that his... whatever kind of interaction that was with Taehyung at the concert was a harbinger of positive experiences to follow.

That couldn't have been further from the truth.

For the past two weeks, Taehyung out-did himself in messing with Jungkook . He threw his arm around Jungkook 's shoulders at management meetings, which made Jungkook turn tomato red in front of most of the staff. When one of Taehyung 's stylists flirted with Jungkook , Taehyung said very loudly that Jungkook was his boyfriend, and it took immediate action from Jungkook to explain how that wasn't true. Taehyung still called him a bunny at every opportunity (though something about that was different, too). And between all of these larger jokes, Taehyung messed with Jungkook on a whole other level by just staring at Jungkook . The expressions would differ - sometimes smirking, sometimes not - but the look in his eyes was still something that Jungkook can't figure out.

He's positive the looks are another way to fuck with him, though.

Today's act was too obvious to ignore. "He just grabbed my drink and drank it out of nowhere!" Jungkook explains. "He doesn't even like Blue Hawaii flavor."

His friends share a significant glance amongst themselves before Eunwoo asks gently, "Are you sure That Guy From Work doesn't have a thing for you?"

Jungkook chokes on his beer. "What?"

"It sounds like he's flirting with you, dude," says Mingyu. Yugyeom nods in agreement.

"That's crazy," Jungkook insists. "He doesn't like me. He probably hates me, actually."

"Do you like him?" asks Yugyeom, taking another casual sip of beer.

Before Jungkook can respond with a resounding "Are you fucking serious?" Eunwoo explains: "You talk about him all the time. Weren't you telling me the other day that he got you food or something?"

"That's - " Jungkook falters. Between the beer and his frustration, he can't think of how to answer that. Eunwoo must be referring to last week, sometime around hour seven of the shooting for the new WINGS music video, when Taehyung said "Here," and tossed Jungkook a sandwich. He apparently knew that Jungkook hadn't eaten all day. Or maybe Eunwoo is talking about the time when WINGS did a meet-and-greet with fans at an outside venue, and Jungkook thought he was going to pass out from how hot it was, and out of nowhere Taehyung wordlessly handed him a Blue Hawaii. Jungkook had thought that it was odd, since he hates Blue Hawaii.
