*** River's POV ***

" What if I can't stay away from you? What if I want your heart and to feel your body pressed against mineeeeeeeeee. " I sang as I rode my skateboard to school like the loser I am.
" WhAT IF I DONT WANT TO LOSE YOU OHHHH WHAT IF I WANNA HOLD YOU OH WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH bAbY I LoVe YoU too much to stay AWAYYYYYYY " I sang. I swung my foot at the ground to go faster. No one in my neighborhood is awake at this time. Actually, I don't have much of a neighborhood. There are barely any houses near the school besides mine, so I can sing loudly without worrying about anyone hearing me. I arrived at the school at 6 AM ( cuz of band and they open up at 7:00 so I'll be the first there. ), and chilled by the tree at the bandhall. I took my drumsticks out of my bag and began drumming on the tree sixteenth notes and what not. I soon enough began playing the beat to ' I Miss You ' by Blink 182. " Where are you? And I'm so sorry. I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight... I need somebody and always... This sick, strange darkness. Comes creeping on, so haunting every time. And as I stared I counted, the webs from all the spiders. Catching things and eating their insides. Like indecision to call you, and hear your voice of treason. Will you come home and stop this pain tonight? Stop this pain tonight- Don't waste your time on me, you're already, the voice inside my head.... ' I turned around to see Dakota behind me with his trumpet case. I kept drumming and he had his eyes closed and kept singing. I smiled. Dakota has a great voice compared to mine. I love to hear it when he sings, it's kinda comforting to hear his voice and could probably make tons of girls swoon over. Sorry for getting all sappy, he's just a great singer. The song came to an end, and he opened his eyes and smiled. I smiled back at him. " So, what's up Dakotes? " He rolled his eyes. " All these nicknames and yet you seem to come up with more. What happened to Dakotie? Or KotaBear, oh let's not forget Koda Dills, Da kotes, KotesMcGee, and my all time favorite, Koda. Man, yall are sooooo creative. "
I gently hit my drumstick on his knee and he yelped. " No fair, I can't hit you with MY instrument you asshole. "
I laughed and he smiled. I checked the time on my phone and stood up.
" It's six twenty, we still got some time to kill, wanna skateboard in the parking lot? " " Sure. " He grabbed his bag and I grabbed mine and grabbed my skateboard. We spent the remaining time laughing and messing around in the parking lot. I was on my skateboard and he was just walking along side me when he asked a question. " So about you and Alexis.... " I groaned. "What about us? "
" Make your move bro. " " But I don't wanna ruin our friendship, man. "
Dakota stopped walking and I stopped my skateboard to turn and look at him.
" I don't wanna ruin what we already have. I don't wanna mess up the good things.... "  He crossed his arms and looked at the ground. " Look man, you never know until you try. She's never gonna be yours unless you go for it. You're never gonna fulfill out your dream of having her unless you do something. "  I sat down on my skateboard and put ran my hand through my hair. " Fine. Okay man okay you're right. But I just don't know how and it's never gonna work out between us. " " Stop right there. Negativity is what's killing you. Keep up positive vibes. Who says you can't get her? Who says she can't be yours? No one ever said this was impossible but you. Nothing is impossible, even impossible has the word POSSIBLE in it. Go for it man. Get her. "
I looked up at him to meet his smiling grin. I smiled back. " Alright, but you're helping me out on this. " He raised his arms up and backed away. " Alright man alright, no need to be so pushy now. " I smacked his head and he shoved at my side. I ruffled his hair and he slapped my face. It ended up being a hitting fight between the both of us.
  Suddenly the BD opened the doors of the bandhall. '' Are you two gonna come in and be productive or just stand out there and kiss? "

*** Chrissy's POV ***

" Sometimes nail polish just pisses me off. " Kali said while painting her nails in class. I looked up from my class work and smiled. " Why? " I asked.
" Because in the bottle, it's black looking, but when you put it on your nails, it's suddenly a deep Maroon color?? I call BS. " I rolled my eyes and got back on my work. She crossed her legs and put her hand on her leg and carefully brushed the nail polish up and out, being as careful as possible. " Do you ever wonder if like, Narwhals are just unicorns inside a costume? Maybe the Nordics weren't lying when they sold the horns of narwhals as unicorn horns to the British. I'm actually very obsessed with Nordics to be honest it's very cool culture. " She rambled. I just nodded my head and continued my work. Suddenly, I heard a gentle squeak, and then a elbow landed on my desk. I turned to see Kali leaning over with her hand to the side of her mouth.
" Let's move to Denmark, " She whispered, " So we can revel in all the Legos and culture. "
" Miss Hood I would appreciate it if you would stop distracting Miss Christina, as she has work to finish and you don't. And please don't spill that polish thank you. " Miss Whiting groaned.  Kali sat back in her chair and rolled her eyes. She grabbed the polish and began working on her nails again. I chuckled and continued my work before turning it in.

" Kali please just calm down. " She was squealing in the bathroom about some new manga she just realized was being made into a movie. " Chrissy you don't understannnnnnnnnd this is the greatest thing to happen on earthhhhh. I'm so excited you better watch it with meeeeeeee. " I laughed. " Of course. "
" Yayyyyyy " she squealed. I smiled.
" You know, at first glance you look really cool, drinking beer in Chris' car and having such a big house and cool clothes, but you're such a dork. " She gasped " I am NOT a dork I am high class, full of sass, and ready to kick some ass. "  She kicked her leg high in the air and made karate noises. I giggled. " Okay okay let's go ninja warrior before we're late. " I took her hand and dragged her out of the bathroom. '' Chrissyyyy why don't you just let me be. Have some fun. "
I frowned. " Becauseeeeeee we have to go to class. Education is important. "
" Fuck edumacation. "

I said hi to Mr. Yuki and said " Sir keep an eye on Kali she's misbehaving. Byeeeeee " He laughed and told me to get to my third period. I laughed and turned to the doorway.
Suddenly I was met with a broad chest hitting into mine. " Oh I'm so sor- "
" Watch where you're going! " Chris said with words equal to poison. I felt my cheeks get red and I backed out of his way. He rolled his eyes and sat down in his seat before leaning back in the chair. Kali's eyes widened and everyone turned to look at me.
He was nice before, helping us get out of the field. Now he's going back to being an asshole....
Man, what got him in a bad mood?

Sorry for not updating. This year as a freshman has been crazy..... Band has been keeping me busy with marching season and now region and so has school work.
My dad has been diagnosed with cancer... Hodgkin's lymphoma to be exact. He's already started chemo and is gonna be on his third treatment in a week or so. He's already starting to lose his hair so they just shaved his head already anyways so we can get used to his look and so he won't shed everywhere.
He's going to be going through chemo for the next six months so if I'm gone a lot that's why. I'll try to be on more but I mean my dad is gonna need all the support he can get right now, the rest of my family too and we have to keep the house extra clean so he won't get sick so family comes first of course. I'll try to be on more though.
