Jay stayed at the park for a while, her words replaying in his mind. The more he thought about it, the more confused and frustrated he felt. What did she mean by that? He couldn't shake the feeling that there was something much deeper going on, something he couldn't see yet.

The next day, he met up with Jake, Sunoo, and Jungwon. They had noticed something was off with Jay for the past week, and although Sunghoon had filled them in on parts of the story, they could tell there was more to it. When Jay sat down with them in their usual spot outside the school courtyard, he sighed, feeling a mix of relief and tension.

"You guys know what's been going on," Jay started, rubbing his temples. "But it's worse than I thought. I met her yesterday, and she basically said this isn't about Sunghoon. There's something else. And now she's threatening me."

Jake frowned, crossing his arms. "What do you mean something else? You think it's some kind of game to her?"

"That's the thing," Jay said, leaning back. "I don't think it's just a game anymore. She's got this weird control over everyone. It's like... I don't know. I feel like she's hiding something, but I can't figure out what."

Sunoo, always the empathetic one, leaned in closer. "Maybe it's not about Sunghoon. Maybe it's something personal she's projecting onto you. But we can't let her keep messing with you, Jay. This is getting out of hand."

Jungwon, ever the strategist, spoke up next. "Okay, so she's spreading rumors, right? What if we counter that? Not by confronting her, but by showing everyone that what she's saying isn't true. We need to get the truth out there—together."

Jake nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we all know the real Jay. If we stand by you, people will start questioning what they're hearing from her."

Jay felt a flicker of hope. His friends had always had his back, and now, even in this mess, they were ready to help him fight through it. "Alright. I'm in. But how do we do this?"

"We start with the people closest to her," Jungwon said thoughtfully. "Find out who's really listening to her and why. If we can convince them that she's not telling the whole story, maybe we can start turning things around."

Jake grinned. "Leave that to me. I've got a few connections."

Sunoo smiled softly, trying to lighten the mood. "And while Jake plays undercover, we can make sure you're not alone in this. We'll stick with you, Jay. You don't have to face her on your own."

Jay nodded, the tension in his chest easing just a little. For the first time in days, he didn't feel completely trapped. "Thanks, guys. I needed this."

The plan was simple, but it had to be done carefully. Over the next few days, Jake began reaching out to some of the people closest to her. He wasn't confrontational—he knew better than to spark any more drama—but he listened, gauging how deep her influence went. Meanwhile, Sunghoon, Jungwon, and Sunoo made sure that Jay never had to deal with the constant stares and whispers alone. They stuck together, a united front.

But as the week dragged on, Jay could sense the unease building. Despite his friends' efforts, the tension hadn't fully died down. People were still whispering, still watching him like they were waiting for something to happen.

It all came to a head one afternoon when Jay, Sunghoon, Jake, Sunoo, and Jungwon were walking through the school hallways. The air felt thick with anticipation, and Jay had the unsettling feeling that something was about to go wrong.

Sure enough, as they turned the corner, she was there again. Leaning against the wall, arms crossed, that same cold smile on her lips. But this time, she wasn't alone. A group of her friends stood behind her, watching with expectant eyes.

"Well, well, look who's still trying to play the victim," she said, her voice dripping with condescension.

Jay felt his pulse quicken, but he held his ground. His friends were beside him, and he wasn't going to let her control the narrative anymore.

"I'm not here to play games," Jay said, his voice steady. "I'm here to stop them."

Her smile faltered just for a second, but she quickly regained her composure. "You think you can stop me? Everyone knows what you did, Jay. There's no coming back from this."

Jake stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. "That's funny because we've been talking to people too. And guess what? They're starting to realize your story has a few holes in it."

Sunghoon stood beside Jay, his presence a silent support. "You don't get to ruin people's lives just because you feel threatened. This ends now."

She scoffed, but Jay could see the uncertainty creeping into her expression. "You think you've won? This isn't over."

"Maybe not," Jay said, meeting her gaze with a calm he didn't know he had. "But it's the beginning of the end."

Without another word, she turned and stormed off, her friends hesitating for a moment before following her. The hallway was silent, the tension hanging in the air slowly dissipating.

Jay let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. His friends gathered around him, offering smiles and words of reassurance.

"One step at a time," Jungwon said with a grin. "We'll get through this."

And for the first time in a while, Jay believed him.
