"Stefan and Elena." No way.

"Kim a..." This cannot be happening.

"And that's all the seating chart for now and of course you could thank your classmates for that!" Mr.Davis said. There was groans around the classroom including mine. Nice going Matt. Okay I just need to act like my normal self and stay calm although my heart is pounding so hard right now and I'm pretty sure he's looking at me. I can't stay calm I am going to simply ignore him for the rest of the year.

"Nice seeing you again Elena." I heard a voice next to me say. I could still pretend I didn't hear him come on.

"Elena, are you okay? You're shaking." My eyes looked to my hand where it was surely trembling. Well my plan at least lasted for awhile.

"Um yeah sorry I was day dreaming. I didn't know you went to this school." Breathe.

"I didn't know you went here either."

"Yeah well I do..." I said turning to look at him. He looked back at me as if he was reading my expression then turned back to the teacher. Okay Elena you need to calm down and stand your ground, act like he means nothing to you. I turned to concentrate on the work Mr.Davis had assigned to us. Relax. Wait what if he asks me for my friend? What should I tell him that I found him? Well I wasn't particularly the best one at lying to people.

"So do you want to be my partner in the project?" I heard him ask next to me. I jumped a little since I was so deep in thought.

"Well...yeah since you're sitting right next to me." I saw Bonnie waving at me trying to get my attention. She made some moves with her hands asking me if I wanted to be her partner but then I remembered Stefan had asked me first. I whispered 'no I already have Stefan'. She made an 'oh' and smirked.

"Sooo...where do you live?"

"Excuse me?" Um creepy much.

"Oh sorry that came out wrong. It's because well I saw you looking for your friend around my house and I was just wondering."

"I live about two blocks away from there." I said not wanting to give out too much information, after all he did look kind of old to be in high school but still was good looking.

"Nice. So we need to write a two page essay about each other so I'm guessing basic questions."

"How long have you been here in Mystic Falls?" I asked suddenly.

"Um not much I just moved back in the beginning of August."

"You moved back?" I asked questionably.

"Yeah, I had family problems and had to leave the town for a couple of years."

"Oh so you do know you're way around here?"

"More than you probably. You're new right?"

"Yes, does it look like I am?" I said looking down at my clothes. I was wearing a plain medium sleeve red shirt with blue jeans and black converse.

"No you silly, it's because the news in Mystic Falls travels by fast. You know who leaves and who enters faster than the mailman dropping the news in your doorstep."

"Oh well that makes me feel so much better about myself now I have to prove that I can belong here."

"You're already welcome here."

"I sure don't feel like it..." I murmured to myself.

"Hmm?"

"What's your favorite restaurant?"

"Eh I don't really go out."

"Why not? What do you do the whole time?"

"Well I did say I moved back here but before that I was just on the road trying to get away from problems."

"I wish I could have a car to get away from my problems."

"Well I am sure you could get a job at the Mystic Grill."

"Mystic Grill? Where's that at?"

"It's like a restaurant around the corner in town. A lot of people go hang out there with their friends."

"Sounds like fun I might go check it out I don't really want my mom driving me around."

"I could drive you anywhere whenever you'd like. Just call me up and ask."

"Thanks but I don't have-"

"Give me your phone." I looked at him then took it out of my bag and handed it to him.

He typed in some numbers and his phone then vibrated and I noticed he had added me to his contacts too. He smiled and handed it back to me.

"Now you do."

I think an year has passed and I'm just on the tenth chapter since I noticed I wrote an authors note before my freshman year and now I'm a sophomore.. damn time goes fast. Anyway short chapter but its something. still editing some stuff here and there!
