º·.I heard a ping from my phone in my bag.

It was two new text messages that read:

'Elena where are you?'

'Im not kidding Elena where the hell did you go'

The last message was sent 10 minutes ago.

The hell with Damon.

I decided I was going to call a cab and leave Damon looking for me for awhile until I got home. I went out of the mall and out so the cab driver would be able to see me. I sat down in a bench and waited, wondering off in my phone.

"Hey, do you mind if I sit here?" A voice in front of me asked. I looked up to see a pair of green eyes looking down at me, expectantly.

"Uhm sure." I said scooting over.

"So you waiting for someone?" He asked casually, looking around.

"Actually, yes. I called in a cab."

"Oh really? Where are you heading? Down to Mystic Falls?" He asked. Was this him trying to make small talk with me or him planning out my murder?

"Um no...well yes." I said, skeptically. He raised an eyebrow and then stood up.

"Well it was nice meeting you Elena. I need to go look for my brother now."

"It was nice meeting you too." I said as he walked away.

I went back to looking at my phone when it hit me. How the hell did he know my name?

I went through the small conversation we had in my brain and I couldn't recall ever telling him my name.

Well if I was slightly scared before of him planning my murder, I definitely was scared now.

I quickly redialed the cab driver and asked where the hell he was. He answered saying he had just passed by a fast food place to get some quick hamburgers and that he was nearby coming in the parking lot.

I spotted the cab and waved him over. He stopped in front of me and I quickly got in, taking my bag of new clothes with me.

Damon's POV

She had not responded to any of my texts and was worrying me to death. Stefan's text in the morning has had me on edge all day. He knew who she was now and how much I am with her nowadays.

Ever since Stefan, my brother, had decided to turn his humanity off he had disappeared from Mystic Falls and I hadn't heard from him since then until now. He wanted something from me that was for sure.

I decided I was going to ask a women to go check the lady's room for me. I saw a curly haired blonde girl coming out from the restroom, texting away in her phone.

"Hey blondy, do you mind checking in the restroom for a straight haired brunnette?"

She looked up and gave me a tight smile.

"Who do you think I am your maid?"

"Come on. I've been looking for this girl for an hour now."

"Well you could stop looking for her and start looking at me." She said, seductively. She came closer to me and started to touch the collar of my shirt.

"Really? In the bathroom, brother?" I turned my head and saw the grim reaper himself walking towards me, the one and only, (insert drumroll here), Stefan Salvatore.

"Don't look at me as if I killed someone brother. Okay maybe I did, maybe many people, but that's beside the point." Stefan said as he stopped right in front of blondy. "Please don't tell me you're Elena 2.0," Stefan said as he looked her up and down,"Well you're not bad looking, but Damon I didn't know you were into blondes now."

"Keep her she's not mine." Blondy scoffed and walked away angrily, murmuring to herself.

"What brings you here Stefan?" I declared.

"If my morning text wasn't a hint enough, I came to visit you and you're new girlfriend who by the way reminds me of another certain brunette, small nose, great evil smile, whose name may rhyme with baterin, oh! And whom is dead."

"She is not Katherine." I grounded my teeth.

"Oh, that I am sure of now. I just met her like a few minutes ago. Sweet girl. Nothing compared to Katherine. Surprises me actually. I thought you were into girls who go hard."

"Where is she? What did you do to her?"

"You know if we both keep asking questions to each other we are going to go nowhere with this conversation, especially outside the lady's room." He started to walk away, when I grabbed his shoulder and stopped him.

"Tell me where she is."I demanded. He quickly turned and grabbed my wrist and twisted it.

"I don't have to tell you anything, human." We glared at each other and then he started to laugh. I pulled my hand away from his grasp.

"How does it feel to be weak? Haha, don't worry brother I did not eat your girlfriend. Okay maybe 'eating your girlfriend' is not the right phrase. Your girlfriend appeared to have headed home without you in a cab. She's smart enough to know that you are the cheating type."

"I am not weak. Can I remind you that you were the one who decided to turn your humanity off because you could not handle controlling your emotions? Now that you have your humanity off you don't feel anything. You think you are careless, but I know that inside of you, you care and-"

He punched me in the face, making fall to ground.

"I do not care about anyone, not even you. I am not a weakling like you, who decided to take the damn cure just to fit in with humanity so you can be with Elena and leave all the problems of the vampire world behind." He kicked me, pushing me towards the wall. I grabbed a hold of the wall and tried standing up and saw that he had left. Talk about weak.

I went in the men's restroom and wiped off the blood from my nose. I looked up at myself in the mirror and questioned why the hell did I actually decide to take the cure. Will Elena and I ever be a thing?
